Oh sweet thank you and I saw SCENT o. O I would never have thought of that I have seen glitter confetti and even beads but scented sounds cool I remember a product called GAK (store bought rubbery slime) I had that and it was pizza scented and another butter popcorn scented and I forgot about it until now |
Gizzie, I remember that stuff too. Half the time, my sibling and I would make it make fart sounds.
|
Oh yes me to lol farty fart
|
Slime farts are the best farts funny sounds with no smelly fallout. xDD
Also I made a ton of bath bombs. xDD |
I saw a utube video where they but bath bombs into a giant slime blob
|
I've seen one gal who put like... 100 bath bombs in a wubble bubble ball.
|
People do crazy thing for youtube views. xD
|
Yeah...the 100, 200, etc bath bomb "challenge" type stuff has kind of been picking up some.
|
I actually follow the gal who set off the 100 layers challenge... SimplyNailogical did 100+ layers of nail polish... and then did a revisit with 100+ layers of glossy topcoat. so blame Cristine in Canada. lol
|
I've been following her channel since 2014. Small world! XD
|
I've only been following her channel since mid 2016. But in my defense, it's hard to discover new channels when you don't have internet at home so your limited high speed data is spent catching up on the channels you already follow.
XD But she is really awesome and I regret not following her sooner. |
Speaking of, I need to do my nails xnx
|
I think it's been close to a month since I last did mine...
XP |
I had to file mine all down because a few of them started breaking.
|
Yeah, mine have been really bad and fragile lately and I have had a couple pretty bad breaks. With any luck, I can get them healthy again. I generally don't ever file mine down though unless I have an important event at work that they should look nice and even for (even though no one ever notices my nails) so they are all uneven and weird shapes.
|
I can't remember how long it has been since I did mine... I've been really busy with other things as well and just plain lazy. xD
|
I feel like you did them early to mid Feb. Because I think you did something with stamping after I did mine burgundy with holo for the work event.
|
I need to get better about using nail oil regularly. My nails are thin and in the right circumstances, I have been known to scratch myself deeply enough to bleed.
|
@Den: Thin nails are more nutrient related. Do you take any hair/skin/nails vitamins?
@Kaderin: I should look into my camera roll on my phone since god knows I can't paint my nails with out taking pictures. xD |

That makes sense. Medication reactions are scary and best avoided.

Speaking of nail polish... Does anyone else here have that peel-off base coat Simply Nailogical swears by? :3 I seriously consider painting my nails just so I can peel the polish off after it's all dried... >.>;;
|
Yes! And also the glossy, quick-dry "taco".
XD Seriously that peel off base coat works WAY too good on my nails though. Like...the polish will randomly pop off my nails at work less than 12 hours after I paint them. |
I have been working on a thing
and if all goes right my boss may pay for it to be the new company logo >.> <.< Kinda excited. |
I've got a quick dry glossy "taco" that I got at the dollar store. I also have a matte "taco" that I got for $.59 at K-Mart last year. When I'm having a stressful day, I'll paint my nails with the peel-off base coat, 1-2 coats of color, and one of the topcoats... and once it's all dry, I'll peel it all off. Peelies are so satisfying.
|
@Den & Kaderin: I have the peel off base coat, I think I have three bottles of it. xD I don';t use it super often but like Kaderin it pops off my nails within 24 hours if I don't have dried out crappy nails as my canvas (or wipe them down with vinegar to remove excess oils). xD I use Seche Vite for my quick-dry top coat simply because it is available locally for not too expensive a price. It may not be the best but it does the job.
@Sparx: Sounds awesome! Good luck with the thing! xD |
Personally, I have found Seche Vite to be the best...but then I haven't been able to actually even find any other quick-dry glossy top coats where I live. I can get matte top coat and glossy top coat, but not quick-dry.
And the other top coats I have tried are way too thin and tend to smudge stamp designs and...well, pretty much everything...badly. Sparx: Whoops! Meant to respond and forgot... That sounds really awesome! Good luck! 8D |
Well if you order online and are willing to pay out the butt, there is HK Girl by Glisten and Glow which is really good quick dry and glossy, and then there is the one by Super Chic called Marvel Liquid Macro, I think, that is supposed to be super amazing. But due to shipping on top of the product price I just stick with Seche Vite. x nx

Being a broke artist means I have to wait for holidays and birthdays to be able to feed my addictions... or I have to buy the cheap shit. which isn't always shit, surprisingly.
|
I've finished the base, now I want to blend and smooth the colors, add maybe 18 more levels of shading (XD) and the company logo at the bottom.
First picture is the original drawing by hand. |
Damies: But...I already pay out the butt for Seche Vite! D:
Den: Yeah...one of my favorite brands is Sinful Colors, which only costs $1.99 here. Sparx: That is very...unique. O.O |
Kaderin: Extra butt payments then!
Den: Oooor rack up so much debt that you can't afford food to become a literal starving artist! No... don't do that. I did that besides the artist part... -5/10 would not recommend. I have gotten to the point where I can't find much in the drug store nail polish aisle that I don't already have.... Sparx: That's gonna be a lot of shading. o no |
Update on it! I just got home but this is what I did over the weekend
I now have to finish shading the leaves, the teeth, and erase some mishaps. Also need to adjust some of the outlines on the black one. . . . |
So today to do more stuff for my boss design wise I finally decided to download some paintbrushes for my gimp.
OMG I CAN DO SO MUCH MORE HOW DID I NEVER KNOW That whole thing was only made with paintbrushes, in ten layers XD IS THIS WHAT I HAVE BEEN MISSING?!?!? |
PRETTY!!!
*grabby hands* That sky...and the moon...and the silhouetted trees! |
I also grabbed some water paintbrushes while I was there so I think Imma try to do one of those paintings that you usually see street spray painters spray, with the galaxy and the waterfall paradise and multiple planets in the sky
|
So uh...I actually have one of those spray paint moonscapes...
One of my former friends wanted to learn to do them, and because I had been so nice and had kind of hung back with her at the fair (she had a bad back and it was really acting up) and kept her company, she let me take one that I liked for free. I think her initial plan was to sell them online, but I don't know if she kept up with them at all. |
I have not been around much I just realized ;n;
|
Yeah....I try to check in this thread for new posts about every other day or so...but otherwise, haven't been very active.
|
>.> I found a scattered holo nail polish at the dollar store today, for $1. Yes, I got it. I wasn't sure it was truly holo at the store, but I figured if I got it and it wasn't, it was still pretty and sparkly... So now that's three awesome polishes/topcoats I've found at the dollar store. I've got a quick dry topcoat, my one-coat-wonder black polish, and my scattered holo polish.
The brand of the polishes: LA Colors for the topcoat, Broadway Colors for the one-coat-wonder black, and Wet 'N Wild for the holo polish. :3 |
