*Walks across the Great Hall wondering where everyone is*

Gallagher 06-06-2012 04:13 PM

OH GOOD GOD, I WOKE UP LATE! -flails- -trips over blanket- -gets tangled in it-

... -sigh-

... Wait, why am I sleeping in the hall again?

Kali_Namir 06-06-2012 04:40 PM

*Walks over to Gall*

Darling, you fall asleep in the strangest of places. Luckily for you though, classes have been canceled for the next few days so our guest can become acquainted with the school and the staff and hopefully be able to chose a few classes to sit in on.

We shall also have a large welcome feast in the next few days.

Gallagher 06-06-2012 04:41 PM

Oh.

Brilliant then!

Guh... I still have research and work to do. I'm so unprepared!

Kali_Namir 06-06-2012 04:44 PM

It's all good. We just wanted our guest to get to know the castle so she doesn't get lost while she enjoys her stay here.

Gallagher 06-06-2012 04:47 PM

It's not like getting lost is that bad. I get lost all the time.

Kali_Namir 06-06-2012 04:53 PM

Yes, but you're used to doors magically appearing and disappearing. Our new guest is not. And we wouldn't want her to find something she doesn't need to find.

Gallagher 06-06-2012 05:58 PM

... The doors move? Cripes, no wonder I have such a hard time! I thought I was going crazy.

Arikana 06-06-2012 07:02 PM

Interesting... How very interesting... :ninja:

Gallagher 06-06-2012 07:13 PM

You dress funny.

Shohnightingale 06-07-2012 01:56 AM

doodles on paper :3

Funkduder 06-07-2012 05:32 PM

are we not suppose to be afraid?

Gallagher 06-07-2012 06:02 PM

Afraid of what?

Funkduder 06-07-2012 06:09 PM

In general. There is fear to be here

Gallagher 06-07-2012 06:14 PM

A Funk confuses a Galla.

Funkduder 06-07-2012 06:18 PM

Courage only fights so far before taking toll on ones sanity

Gallagher 06-07-2012 06:18 PM

Still confused.

A Galla is too tired for fancy word making.

Arikana 06-08-2012 02:12 AM

If Gall is tired, then why not sleep?

Gallagher 06-08-2012 02:21 AM

That was hours ago, when I got up from my nap. -nodnod-

Arikana 06-08-2012 02:46 AM

Ahh, I see.

Where are you from, Gall?

Gallagher 06-08-2012 03:27 AM

Uhm... Virginia? Last I checked, anyway. Hurhur.

Arikana 06-08-2012 09:35 AM

Aww, Gall so far away. :'(

Hmm... If my memory is correct, I think Virginia's the one with Washington D.C.? ...Or was it some other city? Damn, I really can't remember. D:

Gallagher 06-08-2012 12:29 PM

Yeah, I'm about 4 hours south of D.C.

Funkduder 06-08-2012 03:41 PM

Lol. DC stands for district of Columbia. It's its own territory, pretty much. XD

Arikana 06-08-2012 04:34 PM

@Gall: Interesting.

@Funk: So is this District of Columbia a part of the US or not? owo

Gallagher 06-08-2012 05:55 PM

D.C. is part of the US. It's not technically part of any state, however, because that would be lame and unfair and one state would get all the bragging rights. TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, Virginia isn't a state, it's a commonwealth.

But, let's face it. When you get down to it, none of those little details actually matter.

DC is a part of the US but not a state. Maryland surrendered a little tiny bit of land so that district can be made after the American Revolution

Gallagher 06-08-2012 10:49 PM

-sighs- -sinks in his chair- Seven out of forty done in section two... So much writing left to be done!

When you say commonwealth, do you mean the British commonwealth? Cause that's the only commonwealth I know of...

So D.C. is actually bundled up with the rest of the states and not on some island or anything?

Gallagher 06-09-2012 05:38 PM

Nooot exactly, no. Commonwealth just being a, uh... political system thing set up for the good of the people... Virginia has been a commonwealth since before we joined the US. For the states that use the commonwealth designation, it's more for emphasis than anything else, because it doesn't actually change anything.

And yeah, it's on the mainland, just close to the shore. Virginia and Maryland both gave up land to make the capital, the D.C. ended up giving Virginia's land back to us. It just keeps it on its own neutral grounds, rather than technically being part of one of the states and following the state rules as well.

Funkduder 06-09-2012 07:58 PM

so who's head of Ravenclaw again? XD

Kali_Namir 06-09-2012 10:57 PM

We don't have one yet Funk.

Gallagher 06-09-2012 11:02 PM

-flips through pages- ... I'm feeling really good about this, but starting to question if it'll fit... -rubs eyes- Some... 16 sections left to go, I think.

Kali_Namir 06-09-2012 11:04 PM

I can make it two posts...one for wood and one for core.

Gallagher 06-09-2012 11:07 PM

Eh heh, I hate to bring this card up, but if you want, I can put it up myself when it's done. And I think it might be a tiny bit more than wood and core.

Kali_Namir 06-09-2012 11:15 PM

Lols...sure...forgot you were an actual site mod for a little while there...oops

Gallagher 06-09-2012 11:20 PM

Eh heh heh... You're not the only one. Don't worry about it.

Is there a particular post you'd like it in? I think I'll either finish tonight or tomorrow.

Kali_Namir 06-09-2012 11:26 PM

You can put it on the first reserved ones. However many you need (just not all of them though) lols...I may end up deleting the white and black lists and moving things up...and possibly the links out...

Gallagher 06-09-2012 11:30 PM

Personally, I've never been a fan of white and black lists. Good friends know who they are, just as people that don't get along with you know who they are. Never made much sense to me to list them all. -shrug-

Only 11 more woods to finish up.
