Alright, was just offering to give a little help. Hopefully you can do it on your own.

-chuckles- I'm not really looking at doing any animations really, if someone asks, than sure, I'll give it a whack. -stares hopelessly at the tablet laying under her bed- Don't even know why I bought one.. I more prefer my mouse.. D: Been thinking of seeing what I could get for it at the local pawn dealer.. brand new..

Ducky 05-23-2012 05:26 PM

I have the smoothness of the animation down fine, it's just getting the eyelid to look the correct shape that's stopping me. and the fact the person isn't looking anywhere in particular and looks silly blinking >_<

Umaeril 05-24-2012 07:18 PM

I see, so you are creating a video. Are you a video artist?

Ducky 05-25-2012 08:02 AM

Nope. I'm just a regular guy with a small bit of video experience and a lot of free time :D

Umaeril 05-25-2012 07:07 PM

I'll look forward to seeing what you do. Anyhow, what are you up to this weekend there? Is it getting warm now there?

Ducky 05-25-2012 07:58 PM

I've been out playing ultimate frisbee and baseball a lot lately because the weather is crazy ho for Scotland :D We also discovered a flat building has roof access, so we've had a picnic and a barbecue up on the roof overlooking the city.

finally going to go see the Avengers tomorrow as well, which is very late coming D:

Umaeril 05-25-2012 09:52 PM

Wow yeah I was wondering if you all were getting warm there. I almost wrote "ya'll" but the I wondered if that might sound odd to you. What do you think? If I said "ya'll" what would you think?

Ducky 05-25-2012 09:59 PM

In British media y'all is often used to represent the 'redneck' stereotype. I personally don't see it that way as I know a fair amount of Americans who say it, to the point where i do sometimes as well.

Umaeril 05-25-2012 10:02 PM

You do, how curious. I wonder if I could understand you. Do you ever have difficulty understanding Americans? Anyhow, I am glad you get to see Avengers tomorrow. I want to see it again. Will you watch in 3D?

Ducky 05-26-2012 05:59 AM

I'm sure you would be able too. there's not much in the way of a language barrier. Just some things phrased differently, and different names. As for accents, i can understand most american ones because i've been exposed to a lot.

Umaeril 05-26-2012 10:36 AM

I have not been exposed to a lot of Scottish accents, English yes as one of my old bf's was English and I have been there 3x so I got used to it. Frankly, I have difficulty with some of the deep south accents here. The really twangy ones. Hard to make out what they are saying. I have a California accent.

Ducky 05-26-2012 11:01 AM

My parents are English, and the mix of Scottish and that has produced a very simple and understandable accent for me. to people here I even sound somewhat american, in comparison to locals.

Angel Spirit Girl 05-26-2012 09:56 PM

Ya'll is a very Southern thing to say.

Accents are fun. Brian Jaques' Redwall novels even have animals doing accents.

Ducky 05-27-2012 11:34 AM

I use to love Redwall <3

And here's my accent if you're interested >_< Very awkward me.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6egWYpuH5E

Umaeril 05-28-2012 10:57 AM

"Omg the air is full of sparkles...everywhere...awesome!"

Hehe, wow you are super cute. If I were your age I would have a crush on you but luckily for you I am happily married. And like twice your age, lmao. :D Seriously though, you are amazing. You must have a ton of gf's. I love your accent and I had no trouble understanding you at all, you do sound rather American actually.

Ya'll is southern, true, from my years spent in Nashville.

Ducky 05-28-2012 11:02 AM

Well, thank you very much! n_n <3 But you're very much wrong on the gf front. Only ever had the one here in Scotland, then there's Nexess right now who's in Canada D:

I'm a very bad representation of the Scottish accent, or general British accent.
