Indeed so. There's a difference. The pancakes we make are nice and thick and chunky. Yum. Either way, I'm sure it's a great treat, too.

Ducky 01-07-2012 06:04 PM

we have both thin and thick pancakes, but we also have crepes. I'll have to do some research into the differences.

DarkForbidden-Love 01-07-2012 06:04 PM

I like my pancakes thick but not chunky. And the difference in ingrediants for crepes and pancakes is one ingriedent and a few mesurements off.

Ducky 01-07-2012 06:07 PM

I would consider that still a pancake then. Like a different kind of bread resulting from different flour and measurements.

Gallagher 01-07-2012 06:08 PM

Aha, these are too many differences for me to keep track of. I can't even cook eggs, don't ya know, let alone fuss with all of these differences in pancakes.

My adopted dad is a professional chef so I know lots of unimportant random stuff about food items.

Ducky 01-07-2012 06:11 PM

I consider myself to be quite skilled at cooking. I certainly defy the stereotypes of guys my age.

DarkForbidden-Love 01-07-2012 06:14 PM

Dad said he went to school as the only male in his class. XD But nowadays cooking isn't/shouldn't be a gender based assumption as I know both male and females in the cooking industry.

Gallagher 01-07-2012 06:14 PM

My strength is taking the random leftover bits here and there that you have before grocery day and making meals out of them. Comes in handy, I'd say!

Ducky 01-07-2012 06:16 PM

it shouldn't be, but it still is to most people. I always get surprised reactions to the facts I am the dedicated cook for everyone in my flat.

DarkForbidden-Love 01-07-2012 06:22 PM

*Mutters about stupid people who gender profile* I cook, I sew, I clean, I organize, I work a job, I privide for myself, I don't want to have kids, I can work a computer, I'm not a complete ditz, I know proper grammer in three different languages, and I don't have a male that waits on me hand and feet. This doesn't fit into your little gender profile world, and I'm glad. :O I can't stand gender profiles who think because I happen to be of a /fairer/ gender that I can't pull my own weight then some.

Ducky 01-07-2012 06:25 PM

i have a lot of traits that are considered to be feminine ones, so i'm quite often considered camp or gay by the stupid majority.

DarkForbidden-Love 01-07-2012 06:30 PM

I know men can have what is considered to be femine traits and not be gay. Same way females can have masculine traits and not be transvestites. Most people assume I was A) raised a tomboy, B) originally male and got a sex change, or C) a tranvestite.

Ducky 01-07-2012 06:33 PM

I kind of hate society sometimes. actually, a lot of the time. I've always been 'different' and 95% of people seem to consider that to be bad. either i'm gay, a emo/goth, or am simply trying to be cool and individual. none of which i am...

Gallagher 01-07-2012 06:34 PM

I like to be seen as male, even though I am not physically so and do not wish to change to become so. Screw the profiles. Life is more complicated than 1 and 2. My male wardrobe irl is currently rather lacking though... Wish I had the money to go shopping. I cringe whenever someone gets me something that they thought was 'cute' or 'pretty'.

DarkForbidden-Love 01-07-2012 06:36 PM

Society hates me, I don't have to hate them. :D And they make it easy to hate them as they are shallow and have almost no awareness factor. 2D tryinging to be 5D, it just doesn't work

And Galla, it is the same with me. 'Pretty' and 'cute' aren't what I am for 'together' and 'proffesional' is more of my look. I own one femine item for special occasions and even then I'd probably break out my tux more likely then where it.
