Hello. I finished reading Phoenix and Ashes by Mercedes Lackey.

It was an excellent fantasy novel, in case I have not mentioned it.

She is an author I really like. <3

What is it about?

It is sort of a Cinderella retelling.

Does it have magic in it?

Lots of it. It has an alternate England during world war II setting. The wicked step mother is an earth master mage, Ellie discovers that she has fire master powers. The handsome bachelor noble is a royal air force captain who is an air master mage.

I think I've heard of this... But it still sounds like a really awesome book.
