i just happened to grow up in a small rural area where being different was almost a crime, so it has had a pretty large effect on me through the years.
|
I live in rural PA when not on tour but being wierd is expected. People there would freak out if I was 'normal' because of the family that raised me.
|
I lived on a small Scottish island until recently. An island that has very little influecne from the outside world. I was an outcast from day one, as my parents weren't Scottish.
Yay, 500 posts! :3 |
I do know how being an outcast feels but I have been blessed with an understanding comunity and a wonderfull girlfriend. I was well prepared for the reality outside my comunity thankfully so general society's stigma did not effect me as bad as it would effect most.
|
you're very lucky then.. I had none of that as i grew up. Now that I've moved to a more socially mixed place i don't even know how to go about making friends.
|
I'm sure you had at least one person to be your support. And I'm very aware of my luck and I wish everyone could have what I have except maybe even a little better.

Hey guys qhats up this phone is hard to use xD
|
I live with my Brother and sister at present, and am slowly meeting people through them. I have been unable to get a job yet, and that's usually my main way of meeting people.
Hey Asami :3 |
Heya, Asumi, and yes I would imagine a phone is hard to use.
My sister, GF, and Tris are my only ways of meeting people. I'm a huge introvert. |

I guess I shouldn't ask you for your opinion on the musical or movie option since you seem to be quite the die hard Phantom fan. P: Well that's good, it's important to love what you do. Otherwise I don't see how one can enjoy doing something for a career if they don't even enjoy what they do. |
I'm not from a rural area, but my family is a little... hm. Trashy, ignorant, and closed minded? I think that sums it up...
My bio mother isn't. Neither is her new husband. I'm very thankful when I do get to see them. Around here, I've pretty much been disliked by my peers since I first started school. And here I thought 5 year olds couldn't hate. Hullo again, Asami. |
lucky for us social rejects/introverts there are websites like this out there where we can congregate <3
|
It's true. It really does wonders for those of us that would have otherwise been isolated.
|
Yes, thank you for Tris~
@Galla, a child's mind is simple, pure emotion. They are capable of the purest emotions, negative or positive. @Ari, I didn't care for the movie/s actually but besides that I have a tiny obbsession with it. It is nothing compared to my Sherlock obbsession though. |
I quite often make friends through sites online and then get to know them in real life. I've made quite a few friends around the UK that I have met, as well as some in america.
|
Same here. Though I don't often befriend them off-site normally limiting them to online.
