Bwahahah soo true that and knowing how to calculate 20% of something comes in handy as well :). Deamonskid that office is a reck. Hope you can survive it! Mold can cause all kinds of nasty ass sickness.

Demonskid 02-19-2015 06:47 PM

Kara - it's an old school building. D8 Floors 2-4 (its really 3 floors but they call the one part of floor 2, floor 3.. 4 stairs does NOT make it an extra FLOOR!) I work my foodstamps off there.. ;-;

Well when next week comes, there should be enough donations for us to sort through so we won't have to clean. So thats one thing to look forward to <3

ml1201 02-19-2015 08:30 PM

They do know they have to keep a building like that maintained or else it will start falling apart, right? o.O If there's stuff dripping from the ceiling and there's mold that's health issues can could be in violation of the health code of your state. o.O

Demonskid 02-19-2015 09:23 PM

they just GOT this building and are now planning to sell it off...

they fought so hard in court to have this building just so their program for women could move forward. =w=, the school has this boarding house next to it and no one wanted 'homeless women or ex drug users' in their neighborhood so they did a petition and went to court to keep the mission from moving there.

=w=, they fixed up the boarding house but did NOTHING for the school...

Karastorm 02-19-2015 10:22 PM

Well thats just rude. Some times you really have to wonder about humanity. It shames me to think how few are willing to give people a chance of normality.

Lucifox 02-20-2015 12:18 AM

Unfortunately it seems most people that want to help barely make enough to support themselves and those that do make enough to help a lot got there because they're willing to walk over anyone to get there

ml1201 02-20-2015 01:41 AM

*sigh*
They could have done something with it at least, like maybe turned it into a daycare or something like a youth group to keep kids off of the streets or something. :/

Demonskid 02-20-2015 07:55 AM

the school is where we give out the food and clothes.. hence me being sick this week because we had to clean the building =u=

NO WORK TODAY EITHER! 8D I go back to sleeps >.>,

ml1201 02-20-2015 10:49 AM

lol, Not leaving the house either if I can help it. XD

Karastorm 02-20-2015 02:12 PM

I just got back in from the city today after getting my self two new sewing patterns for cloths. Going to go to Freecycyle and Freegle and ask for old curtains or unwanted material so I can make them ( yes I'm that sort of person. I got the simplicty pastern number 2172 and Butterwick fast and easy 4790 ( retro). Can't wait to make them :3.

ml1201 02-20-2015 03:15 PM

I have no idea what those look like, and I always thought turning curtains into clothing would be awesome. XD

Demonskid 02-20-2015 03:31 PM

Scarlet from Gone with the Wind made a very pretty dress out of her mothers favorite draperies ouo

it looked better as a dress than it did as draperies o3o,

Karastorm 02-20-2015 07:03 PM

Simplicity patern 2172

Butterick B4790

And this litle number Is made from curtains ( bar the corset)

ml1201 02-20-2015 10:12 PM

Oh! Nice! That's going to look awesome! And since curtains are usually a heavier material I might look for some I can use for making another purse in the future. :o

Karastorm 02-20-2015 10:19 PM

I repurpose a lot. I have a bag I made from a single leg off a pair of jeanes. Good times :3. I'm just a crafty person I supose

ml1201 02-21-2015 12:05 AM

I wanted to use an old pair of jeans to make a dice bag from since I have a box someone made for me that I paid them to do. Except they never gave me back the jeans, instead they cut up the jeans to use for more boxes. .-. I asked them when they were going to give the jeans back since I had given them the pair to use for my box and they told me they already cut them up into squares. T-T Now I don't have matching stuffs. >_>

Lucifox 02-21-2015 01:18 AM

My first week at the new job is done! meet some cool people and didn't mess up too bad. ^_^

And sorry about your jean dilemma, and that outfit is pretty awesome karastorm

ml1201 02-21-2015 09:17 AM

Yeah, I had that pair for nearly ten years before I decided to cut them up, mostly because they were starting to get holes. What got me miffed was the guy didn't ask if I wanted the jeans back when I told him I wanted him to use it for my box. He didn't even offer to give me the squares he cut out of them, which would have been big enough for making a dice bag (I don't have a large amount of dice).

Demonskid 02-21-2015 09:39 AM

I used a tanktop i didn't like to make an awesome glove ouo

my one ex goes to me 'you trying to be a ninja?' and its like.. um.. its a particular style in anime.. I MADE IT FOR COSPLAY YOU JERK D< -and for every day use because i love it-

Lucifox 02-21-2015 12:32 PM

Why not go to a goodwill and see if you can find something that's somewhat of a match?

I've always had issues with making gloves. So many fingers haha

Karastorm 02-21-2015 03:41 PM

Thanks and yeah good will shops are god sends for cheap material

Lucifox 02-21-2015 04:02 PM

Yeah one near my place has entire rolls of fabric for anywhere from 5-10 dollars.

ml1201 02-21-2015 06:41 PM

True, that's a good idea. Still kind of annoying how the guy never asked me about it, and he has my number in his contacts. >_>

Karastorm 02-21-2015 10:42 PM

Then he's a creap and may need a swift knee to the nuts. That'll teach him.

ml1201 02-21-2015 11:09 PM

lol, Can't bring myself to do it because he's a diabetic and has to have shots in his eyes for the rest of his life. x'D

Him 02-22-2015 04:02 PM

Ouch that sounds like it hurt I would not wish that on my worst enemy. O.O

ml1201 02-22-2015 04:03 PM

Well, he says it doesn't hurt but there is a slight pinching feeling and he has trouble seeing for a bit afterwards, but it does help. He had bleeding in his eyes so yeah. ^^;

Him 02-22-2015 04:28 PM

My grandfather is diabetic so I've seen him prick himself to test his blood sugar and, it's hard to watch. But he is a strong old man. He don't take shit from no one and he's so sweet too. :>

ml1201 02-22-2015 06:34 PM

lol, I've seen people give themselves insulin injections, and I've had to turn away mostly because I don't like needles. x'D They would apologize to me afterwards, and I told them its fine, I just personally can't handle seeing a person do that. ^^;

Karastorm 02-23-2015 09:18 AM

It's wiered for me as I don't mind needles in the the slightest yet I get reall ill from having bloods took. It's so bad I can't donate as even a small vile will make me feel dissy and faint for a day or so after. I think I have a deep seated fear of blood loss.

Him 02-23-2015 10:07 AM

Aww I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah I get a bit squeamish when it's time to do blood tests and junk. But I usually get hurt a lot so I don't necessarily get ill from slight blood loss only major blood loss.

Karastorm 02-23-2015 01:15 PM

I was a clumbsy child tbh I'm lucky I'm still alive. I crased my bike as a kid into a pavement and some numty had hacked off the safty wheel leaving a long and sharp pole. Needles to say it went in my leg ( got a lovely scar from it) I pulled it out and sat and just stared at the puppy fat. Got blloked by the hospital as I had no idea igf it has sliced through anything majour. Jumped from a set of stares at one point and sliced y arm open on a door catch, Broke my leg, Fell over and sliced the palm of hand open then the next dday fell over again and burt the blood blister that had formed..So yeah..it may of all come back to me now from loosing all this blood but it still scares me so much that the body just go's into shock.

ml1201 02-23-2015 09:57 PM

@Kara
Pardon my french but damn. O.O; Am I the only one to have never sustained any major injuries that required stitching, casting, or repeated visits to a doctor? o.o; Even other people in my family have sustained more injuries than I have. o.o; But you're extremely lucky just like my brother.

@Him
For myself if its my own blood I'm kind of used to it by now but I still become 'green behind the gills' when it comes to other people. ^^; (and animals *cough* )

Him 02-24-2015 12:11 AM

I guess it's hard for some people to see blood outside of their bodies. My mom had this doctor book that showed all sorts of injuries that people had sustained and they were horrible like make you wanna puke but I couldnt look away. I just couldn't.... ;w;

ml1201 02-24-2015 12:54 AM

Yeah, also the reason why I can't really watch shows like the Amazing Doctor Po or whatever its called. x'D I miss Steve Irwin. T^T

Karastorm 02-24-2015 09:04 AM

See this is where it get's strange I can watch stuff like 24 hours in A&E and seen some horrific addicents with legs missing or bones out side of the body and be fine. It littraly is my own blood loss that makes me feel a bit queasy. I'm ok with small paper cardboured cuts ( always covered in these from work)but anything larger and I feel a bit bleh. I'm scared of washing glases how I used to as one smashed and cut me down to the bone that was intresting as my mother just stood there and called me soft and stop being a whimp and just get on with the workload ( my parents treat me like dirt btw).
