Today I forgot to staple papers, and because of my trying to fold up the corners (to prevent it from falling apart), my teacher counted the whole row late. So after school I asked the teacher to please not count my row's papers as late, except for mine, because it really was my fault. She said she'd think about it.

I was actually willing to offer to give my points to them, ha, ha...I didn't want people to start hating me.

Nah, she did tell us to staple papers before we came to class, and my papers were perfectly fine...I just had to be a fusswudget because I was afraid they'd fall apart.
And she gave us 12 seconds to pass them over.
