oh I see, well since I'm an elf and automatically mean I must act snobbish... -stands over chinchilla- "begone peasant" -is so going to have karma come back them-

Lucid: 11-10-2010 02:51 AM

hahaha. Karma doesn't work. on monday I tipped my waiter $25 for a $27 dollar meal (I just get way too much money on my meal plan!) and then I went to go take my accounting exam and failed it. D;

Jurinjo 11-10-2010 02:56 AM

Well karma isn't immediate that test could be part not-studying and part something-you-did-3-days-ago. I heard on the radio today salmonella from bad eggs or meat can take that long to affect a person. yup yup

Lucid: 11-10-2010 03:03 AM

I haven't done anything bad though. ;A; and I did study for the test, I just hate accounting. and my teacher writes the test to be intentionally tricky. D;

and I don't eat meat, and I cook my eggs throughly. **nodnod** :3

Jurinjo 11-10-2010 03:05 AM

Accounting = Numbers?
You poor soul1 D:

oh are you a vegetarian?
-is eating meatloaf right now-

Lucid: 11-10-2010 03:09 AM

yeah, numbers. I can do the numbers just fine though. it's when the problem is all, "here's every single bit of information you could possibly be given. now I'm going to ask one very specific thing about the particular way one very specific accounting entry is made on this specific day" that I don't know what to do. D: but I felt like I did a way better job on the exam than I actually did. I knew all the stuff, I just think I might have not answered what it was asking because it's so tricky and mean!

yar, Lucid is a vegetarian. a sleepy vegetarian. **curls up and goes to bed** talk to you later!

Jurinjo 11-10-2010 03:12 AM

heh oh then I see how you would have trouble. Word problems are tricky enough for my mathematically challenged brain when they pretty much give you only the information you need. xP

ah I see. My diet used to have so much veggies that I could make that lifestyle choice very easily lol. Nowadays though because it's cheaper my diet is pretty much consisting of beef and ramen noodles. -___-

yay purple! it looks good. C: to be honest I thought you looked like Rainy for a second. XD

Kamikaze Chinchilla 11-10-2010 11:56 AM

Ewww...I hate teachers that try to write accounting exams like they show on the CPA exam. You have to read the question extremely carefully and make sure you get the right details needed to solve the question. Otherwise you just slip up. It's best to read the question first and then read the details afterwards, so you know what details you need to solve the problem.

;A; Picking on ChinChin is a criminal offense with a punishment of 500 years in prison.... x'D

Lucid: 11-10-2010 12:13 PM

yeah. that's how he writes it. ;A; I don't want to be an accountant, I just want to pass the class.

Kamikaze Chinchilla 11-10-2010 12:26 PM

I wouldn't doubt if he takes questions directly off a CPA review book...which isn't fair in my opinion.

Sadrain 11-10-2010 04:01 PM

-floats trough-

Lucid: 11-10-2010 04:35 PM

I don't know how he writes the exams, but he does basically no work. all the lectures are 10 year old videos of him teaching the material, the in-class review sessions are taught by his TAs, and he brings guest lecturers to speak to us on the 8 days of the semester that we are actually required to come to class. the only thing he teaches us live are the 4-5 hour review sessions before each exam. so out of the entire semester so far, he's taught about 9 hours. I wouldn't be surprised if the exam questions were from a CPA review book, or at least modified versions of those. DX

Sadrain 11-10-2010 05:10 PM

-cuddles Lucid- stupid accounting. >:

Lucid: 11-10-2010 05:15 PM

:< yar. **snugs** I didn't think the class would be that hard when I signed up for it. but it's pretty much too late to back out now. I still have a couple days to officially withdraw, but that incurs a $20 fee and I would probably lose my scholarship for not having enough credits. so that's more like a $2220 fee. D:
