I don't know . . . she was a persian so I assumed she had expectations about things. She was very picky with her toys, she'd only play with dangly things and turned her nose up at catnip

Glitch that is an amazing cat! Animals can be so intelligent.

so I guess you learned to keep your hair clean enough for a cat? haha

Glitch 01-04-2017 11:54 PM

ya i miss her bundles she was the best

Moonshadow 01-04-2017 11:56 PM

I miss my dog that died in 2007, still I miss her.
She was the best. She was a Boxer and lived 11 years which is a long time for a boxer.

Lee 01-05-2017 12:38 AM

My little pug-chihuahua was about fifteen when he died. He looked like a beefy bouncer, with his barrel chest and tiny waist.

Glitch 01-05-2017 01:04 AM

my cat had kitty herpes and so she only made it to 13 but they were a great 13 years

trystan830 01-05-2017 01:08 AM

we had a kitty that got to 13, but he had diabetes and then he had some kind of mass on his pancreas. we think it was cancer that got him in the end. :(

Lee 01-05-2017 01:16 AM

One of my cats contracted feline lukemia, but we didn't know. He was so healthy right up until he wasn't, and he was dead before we could get him to the vet.

trystan830 01-05-2017 01:20 AM

oh wow, Lee, i'm so sorry to hear that. :(

Glitch 01-05-2017 01:26 AM

Hey I just found out Felicia Day is having a baby too! We're going to have same age children. How exciting.

xD

trystan830 01-05-2017 01:29 AM

yanno, i read that just earlier today, Glitch! =D

Moonshadow 01-05-2017 01:21 PM

Ugh I hate losing a pet.

trystan830 01-05-2017 01:23 PM

i've lost four cats over the last 10 or 12 years... i'd have to look back at my LJ to see when we lost Tiger... i'm thinking 2005 for some reason...

Moonshadow 01-05-2017 01:27 PM

I still have my dog's ashes. She died in 2007, I have a little altar to her and everytime I start thinking of her I light a candle.

trystan830 01-05-2017 01:35 PM

we have ashes of two of our kitties, August, who died in 2007, and Jody, who died in 2010.

i checked, Tiger died in 2005. guess my memory isn't all that stinky. and Nyx tangled with something bigger than her, which didn't end well. that was in 2008.

Moonshadow 01-05-2017 01:54 PM

So sad, I have never had another pet.
In the spring and summer and fall I take care of the critters in my back yard.
Make sure the chipmunks have peanuts/water, the birds all fed and the squirrels and rabbits too.

trystan830 01-05-2017 01:57 PM

ok, this is depressing.

i'll have two weirdos, err... cats, that will be waiting for me when i get home! =^..^=

Tiva 01-05-2017 08:22 PM

Moonshadow 01-05-2017 10:39 PM

I don't work :P
and I don't dance!

Glitch, more star/planet/cosmos pixels? pleasepleaseplease

SparX 01-06-2017 01:35 AM

Oh look I am here again
Man dealing with these people really has me drained
and I don't want to function
I've been staying in bed till almost 8 when I usually get up at 5, and starting to go to my room to get away from them but then I just hear them sitting there talking about how bad their lives are and how no one will help them out (even though they are staying at my house....)
So greedy, so rude.

But I made a fantastical new years resolution!

Glitch 01-06-2017 12:26 PM

what is your resolution, that nobody else can move in??

Alatariel 01-06-2017 12:50 PM

/lurks/ ouo
Today is my last day at Gamestop for the year... and it's supposed to snow tonight. Fun. XD

Glitch 01-06-2017 12:57 PM

was it seasonal??

Alatariel 01-06-2017 01:33 PM

Yeah. And they said they could arrange for me to be seasonal again since I wanted (they wanted me to stay but I need to keep the focus on my full time job p: )

Glitch 01-06-2017 01:48 PM

well awesome!! no more two jobs also woohoo

Alatariel 01-06-2017 01:54 PM

Yas! The extra money was great for Christmas though lol

Moonshadow 01-06-2017 05:02 PM

A good employee always gets rehired! That is good Alatariel

trystan830 01-06-2017 05:24 PM

i'm passively looking to replace my main job... which right now is Mon-Thurs, 9-3. but i'll probably start looking a bit more when (a) my younger daughter starts driving (she's 15-1/2 now) AND (b) she has access to car that she can drive when she's able to drive alone. as of now, she stays after for theatre and various other activities, and is sometimes done at 3:30 or 4... and i wouldn't be able to pick her up if got a job that went until 5.

as much as i'm okay with working at Michael's, i'd like to have some days off. even though my shifts at Michael's are only 4 or 4-1/2 hours, most weeks i work all 7 days. soon. hopefully....

Tiva 01-06-2017 05:32 PM

Yeah working short hours gives you a lot of crap because you don't get breaks but you never have the day off.

trystan830 01-06-2017 05:35 PM

i'm okay with no breaks, but yeah, it's the never having a day off -- unless i plan one. and y'know what? i'm going to go request a random day off, just to have one! =)

Glitch 01-06-2017 05:36 PM

i had a boss schedule me for a 13 hour shift once . . . i was in college and went to all day classes tuesday and thursday so wednesday i usually had a lot of homework. This shift was for a wednesday. I told them I couldn't do it but they said I had too and that i shouldn't complain because he worked 14 hour shifts and then had to go work night shifts at his second job XP

trystan830 01-06-2017 05:43 PM

i keep my manager to my availability. example, on fridays i'm available from 9-4. one day at the beginning of december i was scheduled from 2-6. i called up the store as soon as i saw that and told my manager i don't do that. it took her a few days, but she changed my schedule.

some of the other management-type people say that scheduling is not the manager's strong suit. but if it's all computerized, why should that even matter? if she screws up my schedule again (even if she fixes it), i'll be on the JoAnn's site again, seeing what they have available.....

SparX 01-06-2017 09:22 PM

Good evening all =3

trystan830 01-06-2017 09:25 PM
