well, Wilson is his best friend and also works at the hospital, and House often goes to him for random consultant and likes to pick on him all the time. He had a wife, then got divorced, and back together and recently broke up again. Then he got a cat, so House was all "Is this it? You're giving up and going to die alone, so you get a cat?"
