spiders are awesome though!!!

trystan830 09-26-2016 01:48 PM

most of them are, yes, i agree.

i was just putting that out there. XD

Tas 09-26-2016 01:53 PM

hey, you want some tea, sweetie? I can brew some up real quick!

trystan830 09-26-2016 01:55 PM

oh, sure, do you have some peach herbal tea? i'm kinda in the mood for that. thanks!

(i may make some actual tea later tonight, too. heh.)

Tas 09-26-2016 02:06 PM

peach herbal coming right up!

have a seat and I'll bring it out to you soon. Do you take sugar, milk, cream?

trystan830 09-26-2016 02:12 PM

ooh thanks!

none, please. i'm actually quite boring - in real life all i take is an ice cube cause it's usually scalding hot. but i'm sure virtual tea is the perfect temperature. =)

Tas 09-26-2016 02:16 PM

my dear, it's not at all boring to take your tea without milk or sugar! It means you like tea for being tea! I also take mine without anything added.

*sets a small pot on the table*

if it's too hot, I can get you some ice chips.

trystan830 09-26-2016 02:18 PM

hee, well thank you!

*pours some tea into my cup and takes a sip*

ahh, it's just perfect! thanks!

Tas 09-26-2016 02:27 PM

you're welcome! :D

so what have you been up to lately, friend?

trystan830 09-26-2016 02:30 PM

i've been up to no good, as usual! XD

actually, i've gotten started on my HollyDays crochet, so that i can do NaNo in november! =D

Tas 09-26-2016 02:32 PM

I don't know what a hollydays crochet is! D:

I know what NaNoWriMo is though! Good luck with that!

trystan830 09-26-2016 02:38 PM

well, i call the holidays (Chanukah, Xmas, and Yule) the 'HollyDays' - we celebrate all of 'em (ChanaYuleMas, as i call it). i also make crocheted stuffed toys for my cousins' kids for chanukah; and for friends and family for the holidays. you can see a lot of them on my Ravelry project pages.

so this year i've started early... so that i can do NaNo again. i didn't last year because i wasn't sure if i'd have most of my crochet done... and i didn't have a plot. this year, i do!

Tas 09-26-2016 02:44 PM

oh, nice! Sounds awesome. :D

trystan830 09-26-2016 02:46 PM

thanks! both the crochet and the NaNo are lot of fun.

Tas 09-26-2016 02:59 PM

I tried NaNo once but...it's just too hard!

Tohopekaliga 09-26-2016 03:05 PM

"Straya" is a somewhat silly way to reference Australia. :P

Tas 09-26-2016 03:22 PM

ohhh, okay. Never heard that one.

would you like some tea, Tohopek? Also, can I ask a favor of my favorite administrator?

i tend to over-describe stuff and get very long-winded with narratives, and my characters tend to babble lots... and sometimes the story writes itself when i have a good plot. i tend to write off the top of my head, or by the seat of my pants.... i'm a 'pantser' - i pretty much don't plan things out very far ahead. it's like i'm building a bridge as i'm walking across it. it's fun, actually. XD

Tohopekaliga 09-26-2016 05:40 PM

I would love some tea! What sort of favor do you need?

what kind of tea would you like, friend?

I've changed the spelling of my name and I'm wondering if you could remove one of the two "n"s in my username. Either one will do, although I'm partial to the second one.

Tohopekaliga 09-26-2016 06:55 PM

Hmm... Chai today, I think.

Technically, you're supposed to post in the name change thread....but alright. I've packaged up your spare N for you. :)

Tas 09-26-2016 07:00 PM

I knooow, but why bother with that when I'm such good friends with the admin? :D

thanks buddy, here's your chai!

Tohopekaliga 09-26-2016 07:07 PM

Indeed. :P I do like the occasional chai tea.

Tas 09-26-2016 07:12 PM

how have you been lately, Tohopek?

Tohopekaliga 09-26-2016 10:11 PM

Oh, not bad. Been trying to avoid stress, and in the process giving myself a wider variety of stress...But apart from that, good.

mm, stress, I'm familiar with that. Working two jobs while going to school will do that. But I'm handling it. Tea always helps! :D

Tohopekaliga 09-26-2016 11:43 PM

It does indeed! Luckily, I have ample quantities of it at home. :)

littl3chocobo 09-27-2016 02:39 PM

teach me how to destress! moving sucks

Ana Claire's guide to de-stressing:
1. Make some hot tea! Always the first step. Try to avoid black teas or anything else with high caffeine content; green teas are nice, as are herbals. I find any hot tea to be relaxing, especially if I go through the whole process of preparing it from loose leaf instead of from a bag, but certain herbals (e.g. chamomile, peppermint) are supposed to be especially relaxing.

2. Indulge in something beautiful or cute! Read some poetry, look at some art or photography, watch a cute anime. Alternatively, make something beautiful or cute. Write something, draw something, daydream!

3. Listen to music! I love music and it's good for all sorts of things, including relaxing and de-stressing.

Tohopekaliga 09-28-2016 08:41 AM

I've started drawing pictures again. It's nice for not stressing on things to have a little something to make with no expectations from others.

trystan830 09-28-2016 10:20 AM

for de-stressing, i crochet. lots. and when i'm done, i have a little less stress and a wearable. or a stuffed toy. =)

littl3chocobo 09-28-2016 05:52 PM

those are lovely ideas but dont suit my lifestyle XD i drink spiced teas which are usually black(mint and orange-spice mostly), it hurts me rather a lot anymore to work on things(also i have a lot of it packed away) and i am surprisngly only able to listen to music as a backdrop for other actvities so most of it is not 'relaxing' hahahahaha

btw, someone scoop me >/

Tohopekaliga 09-28-2016 07:03 PM

could try watching lots of youtube videos.

My girlfriend likes to watch Markiplier and Game Grumps videos. They're usually dumb, but mildly entertaining, if you can stomach watching someone else play a game instead of you. :P

Tas 09-28-2016 07:09 PM

I watch too many youtube videos. >____>

Game Grumps is good.

Tohopekaliga 09-28-2016 07:53 PM

Their videos got me to buy GTA V last week. XD I don't have people to play online with, so that part's a wash (random jerks aren't all that fun), but the story mode was excellent.

littl3chocobo 09-28-2016 08:35 PM

i am going through jim sterling's stuff now XD (truthfully i would rather watch a well-versed player on youtube do a longplay than do it myself half-assedly)

Tohopekaliga 09-28-2016 08:49 PM

Game Grumps playthroughs typically have 2 people, one playing and one just watching while they talk to each other about random shit. It can be funny, and the one playing usually flips out at some point going, "SHIT SHIT SHIT" and all that.

If you want to actually know what's going on in the game, well, a different player's a good idea. XD

Tam I am 09-28-2016 10:50 PM

I think my primary entertainment right now is game playthrough videos. There are a lot of games that I could never play myself.

Right now my primary stress relief is rambling and whining in my journal... which has flying pigs on it. I find that a pretty little stupid book helps.

Moonshadow 12-18-2016 09:49 PM

Iguess I will have a cup of tea then :)
I prefer Lavender Chamomille tea. If you don't have it, I will just take mint tea then, and thank you.

I need a place to relax from time to time :)

Tam I am 12-18-2016 11:41 PM

*offers lavender chocolate tea*
