:/ i remember a coworker at an old job get fired bc inventory went "missing" over night
Waaaahhhhh how much?
Was it just missing missing?
ahhh....gotta love inventory issues *rips hair out* LOL....
inventory time is not fun at michael's. fortunately for me, it's always on a day i'm not working there. XD
yeh, the places i've worked lately always have an outside crew come in and do it. but they always leave the place a mess. and one job, the inventory people stole both of our good step ladders. wtf even =_=
stole step ladders? wtf is right!

yep. but, like tsukiko, we have an outside company come in and count. but us employees have to make sure the store is absolutely perfect, so the company doesn't screw it up.
and oh yes, Zen, it's very nitpicky too. |
Ohhhh haha similar to my store then XD It must be hard to keep everything perfect though since customers tend to put stuff everywhere, unless you guys do all the organizing the night before counting when there's no customers.
oh yeah, customers put stuff everywhere, new employees don't know where stuff goes....
but i have no idea when the company actually comes in to do their counting. |
Today we got news the tracability system may not be up till january, so were going to have to do everything manually. Each conversion, every time a plant gets moved to a different room, everytime we destroy so on so forth.
AND we have to manually create a unique 16 digit barcode and then send in the reports to the state manually. And apparently it's worse for the retail side of this, I'm just in producing and processing. |
we had the outside company come to do inventory when i worked in shoes at a department store.
i had to do soooo much work preparing for that day. we had like 30 pairless shoes. why do people steal one shoe? idk they werent missing, we had looked everywhere and litereally cleared out the storage room and refilled it |
i'll tell you why people steal one shoe. . . they actually steal one shoe from two different sizes. In most cases anyway. Like for me, my right foot is a size 10 and my left foot is a size 11. Shoe shopping a nightmare. I've wished I could mix and match shoes before XD
but.... whenever i buy shoes for me, or my daughter is buying a pair, the first thing they do at the register is make sure both shoes are the same size.
