What makes it crappy?

not only was it GBA graphics but the plot made no sense and the battle system was ridiculous, there was no point in using any the techs except whirlwind, and that was if you wanted to beat several low levels at once

but no i love chrono trigger, yeah it's not as good as everyone praised it to be but it was the first RPG i played (i was 6 when it came out in the US) and i loved it, i really enjoyed the story and the magic system in it. I enjoyed the fact that you had to farm tech points and couldn't just equip something to give you that ability. yea you could mash the a button to blaze through the game but it did require leveling quite often.
