Vocaloid is a Voice Synthesizer :3 basically they aren't real people or anything and each Synthesizer has its own anime-style image. x3 Most of the video's out there are fan made cause you can buy the Synthesizer program and make your own song and stuff with it :3

I've read that before I just didn't get it because I've seen youtube videos with the vocaloids as the main characters. I think I just suck at understanding things some times xD.

Well the vocaloid is just the voice but when they put out the program, there was a character on the box with a name. Its a music project that has gotten out of control! these things have their own songs now, and their own LIVE CONCERTS even tho they aren't real people xp Holograms for the friggen win! Anyway.. the video's you've seen were either made by sega or the fans :3 the Fans like to play with the programs and make stories and stuff..

lets just say.. Vocaloids are getting so popular.. Miku has her own manga Dx I wants it ;-;

XD its just like the gorillaz, they are an animated band and even have personalities, If you go to one of the concerts its all laser lights and screen projections that are really cool.

well the difference between the gorillaz and vocaloid.. the Gorillaz have real people behind them >:3 vocaloid you can tell they are computerized voices =w= especially Len x.x he's very computery half the time xD
Humans did give the computer their vocal sounds and stuff but the rest is all the computer =w=
