I'm here to earn boxes.
And... chat. I guess.

Have you guys ever seen glasses for people who get migraines? There was a guy at one of my old jobs who got nasty migraines from the light fixtures at work. Since the company wasn't about to replace all the lights, and he couldn't just quit, the doctor gave him awesome blue tinted glasses. It was a bit silly to see him walking indoors with what looked to be odd sunglasses, but it helped him out tremendously.

What about prescription sunglasses? There are sunglasses that fit over regular glasses.

My parents are obsessed with turning the lights on because they think I got nearsighted from reading in the dark (?)

I already look enough like a nerd, Bio

I'm curious about the migraine glasses.

mdom, not those giant ones. There are some that clip on and are the same general size and shape of the lenses because they make a variety of sizes.

The glasses were similar to this:

The style of the frame was just different. Something about letting different light waves through. I've stored that idea in my head for the future, since light does affect my migraines too. Lucky though, my last attack was a few years back! So haven't had the need to spend money on the glasses.

I'm crying at this tagline tho "Fighting Painful Light Never Looked So Good"

Biomecha 09-19-2019 05:21 PM

Ah neat, I thought they were mostly red hued. But warm lighting is already worse than cool, so I really like the idea of the blue ones.

Burnt Rice 09-19-2019 05:34 PM

That is an odd tagline. Sounds like the glasses help you box or wrestle the light.

It would make sense to have different tints for the lenses. Not everyone gets triggered by the same thing, so someones bound to need blue vs red.

ooh, looks pretty good and might be worth investing in if you get migraines.

Want to change that flickering light bulb while you're up there? o:

Death by Mirrors 09-20-2019 07:10 AM

How many Wendigo does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Coda 09-20-2019 09:37 AM

Why would a Wendigo even need to?
