yeah, i get that. i still have some fabric i got specifically for masks, i mentioned i ought to make them, and my daughter asks "don't you already have enough masks?" i mean, yes... but i got the fabric to make the masks, so i really ought to make 'em.

Kaderin Triste 09-22-2020 11:19 AM

I'm prone to misplacing masks, so I absolutely need to make more, but it's just such a boring project that idk how many more I'll actually get made. But I feel no guilt about not making masks with my "mask fabrics". Now I can make Derpy clothes and...idk small purses? Or get into quilting? XD

trystan830 09-22-2020 11:26 AM

heh cool about making clothes for Derpy!

i mean, i have 8"x8" squares, and 3/4 yards of two more fabrics, so i can used them for other small projects as well... but i got the fabric specifically for the masks, so maybe that's what i ought to do with 'em XD

Kaderin Triste 09-22-2020 12:30 PM

Derpy needs all the clothes! >8D
Lol

But actually though, I need to buy him more shirts (because I'm bad at making anything small and more complicated than skirts. XD

trystan830 09-22-2020 12:59 PM

yeah, i get that. small clothes are fiddly.

Kaderin Triste 09-22-2020 01:27 PM

And Derpy just has such odd measurements... >.>
But I can modify 8" teddy bear shirts to fit. They're a tad large, but if I was ambitious, I could re-hem them to at least be a little shorter. And maybe take them in a touch at the sides.

trystan830 09-22-2020 02:11 PM

ah, well that's cool too!

i finished the book i was reading - Raising Them. it's kind of a wild ride, actually.

trystan830 09-22-2020 07:36 PM

is this a kissing story?!

i have the Princess Bride, the Good Parts Version, on my re-read list, actually :)

*waves hi to Merskelly*

Merskelly Metalien 09-22-2020 08:32 PM

*waves back* :T Hullo.
I've been reading some literature for all 3 of my literature classes.
=,>; It's exHUASTing, but I do miss reading. :T Maybe that's why I'm writing so much lately...

trystan830 09-22-2020 09:01 PM

what literature are you reading?

and yaay writing! i have an idea for NaNo this year, and what the world that it's set in will be like, but i'm missing some important parts - characters... and plot! XD

Merskelly Metalien 09-23-2020 02:23 AM

:/ Ahh, I read "The Absolute True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" by Sherman Alexie.
I read bits and pieces of Harper Lee's "Go Set A Watchman."

And I've read a couple short stories, mainly "A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner and "Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, were the most recent. :) But also, "The Necklace" by Guy De Maupassant and "The Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin which is one of my absolute favorites! X'D

trystan830 09-23-2020 10:50 AM

i haven't read any of those, although at some point i want to read Go Set A Watchman.

i've started back on my Sidney Sheldon reread with Rage of Angels, but i have two new Supernatural books i should be reading instead. XD

Merskelly Metalien 09-23-2020 08:17 PM

<xT I should give Frankenstein a re-read, but I haven't even finished it. X'D Now I'm on uncertain standings with that book, lol! I've cheated on it with The Picture of Dorian Grey, and I haven't even returned to THAT book! <x'D

trystan830 09-23-2020 08:23 PM

i have both of those books, and i need to give them a proper read myself!

my birthday is the same as Mary Shelley, actually :)
