An exhibit type show where you can buy rubber stamps and ink pads and stuff.

No. They were not at a particularly good price -- just a rather regular one. However, they had a very lovely selection without having to resort to using the internet.

Wow... that seems like a rather specific collection of things to expo XD.

Angel Spirit Girl 07-30-2011 10:06 AM

It wasn't completely huge.

They only had about 18 (or 20) vendors, but it mostly filled a small expo hall.

It was just a nice shopping size.

Aw, that sounds nice, then *nods*.

This weekend (saturday and sunday) I am working at what's called a Maker Faire, which I guess is a pretty new thing (this is the second time they've had it here), it's a DIY type thing, there are all sorts of cool things going on and dozens of makers - of food, crafts, etc. I was selling drinks for The Henry Ford, because we are hosting it...

I've been at my seasonal cookie packing job lately.

Last weekend I went to my local SF convention. It was fun. ^.^

Then this past Sunday I went and saw Harry Potter 7 : pt 2.

That handmade show you were at sounds very interesting.

femme gauche 08-04-2011 01:34 PM

No, not necessarily handmade - some of the things are machines, inventions and the like. There was a booth where people were selling products created with a 3-D printer. There were handmade bits inside, but I didn't see much of them, haha.

Angel Spirit Girl 08-27-2011 06:14 PM

Oh! Like an invention convention. Cool!

femme gauche 08-27-2011 09:47 PM

Yeah, that's pretty much what it was. But the term "maker" spanned inventors and crafters.

Angel Spirit Girl 08-28-2011 03:20 PM

That was nicely inclusive. ^.^

femme gauche 08-28-2011 09:17 PM

Mhmmm. There were three in the country - New York, Bay Area (California), Detroit. Well, technically, Dearborn, but it was called Detroit.

Angel Spirit Girl 09-25-2011 08:06 PM

That is very cool.

I have been working at my seasonal cookie packing job and reading.

One series I am reading is the Wizard of Earthsea by Le Guin.

femme gauche 09-25-2011 08:58 PM

Yah it was :). Wish I could have come, haha. Instead of working it. But it cost a lot of money anyway...

Angel Spirit Girl 09-25-2011 09:27 PM

Hey. Having an income is good. <3

femme gauche 09-25-2011 09:29 PM

Yeah, but something like that .. it is only a couple days xP.
