but I figured out the math*.
In one hour its possible to do as many as 30 fights.
statistically you'll win at least one in ever four.
so that means seven gems an hour, at maximum 'capacity'
so, then to get 240 gems you need to play for 34 hours total...here's to hoping the event goes taht long LOL

*math doesn't include random gems or slow fight set up

yeah, you need the same amount of crystals as gems, did the math on that too. and really, math is always fail, cause it involves statistics in this case, and they're easy to manipulate

xd then i got my counts mixed up, i know ones 240 and ones 210...least i thought so...anyways..

It's... frustrating =/ Seeing how much rarer the jewels are, you should need at lest 100 less jewels than crystals I'd think.
