As long as it didn't hold a grudge about me selling it, that would be funny.

For the craft-a-long, I think, as long as I had the supplies, I wouldn't mind learning new things. I stick mostly to chainmail (beginner to advanced beginner skill level) and loom knitting (intermediate to advanced skill level), but I have done a little book binding. And I want to learn to sew, but am waiting on my aunt to come to town so she can bring me a sewing machine. Oh, and I have very tiny amounts of experience in crochet and needle knitting with the intent of learning needle knitting soon, and possibly learning crochet later.

I have a thought, what if instead of a specific pattern we pick an item, liiiike "everybody make a piggie in whatever medium you see fit!"

Honestly, that's kind of what I was thinking.
But it would be cool to also do simple projects sometimes maybe with links to tutorials so that people who want to learn something new could try?

Like say we go with...make a scarf and then provide links to instructions for loom knitting, needle knittingn crochet, and even sewing? But people can say...draw scarves too if they want.

Or if this becomes a big enough project maybe even have sort of "learn to" beginners tutorial and info links in a post on the front page (of whatever thread we use) for people to learn new stuff if tjey want to, if that makes sense.

I can definitely provide links for a few different kinds of crafts, I'm good at hunting these things down. Only thing I can't do however is judge the usefulness of a particular pattern if it's not for a craft I'm familiar with. So that would then be your responsibility to tell me if a link should be ditched from the list.

Since I love the idea of INFINITE PIGGIES I suggest pigs as our first theme. My second suggestion would be cats, since one can never own too many.

I don't think we set a deadline, but most craft-a-long type things go on for a month, so I would go with that.

Well, it's actually moving now at least. I just wanna work on my mermaid tail blanket that the tarn is for! Guess I'll just have to work on other stuff for a while longer.

Piggy is in progress. I tried adapting a pattern I have, but it didn't look right, so I found one I'd bookmarked, and I'm using two sets of circulars to knit it.
