Hm...not really. I don't listen to lots of the songs and stuff most people do. My iPod sports extremes: On one end, you've got hard rock and rap, and on the other end, you have Robert Whitesides-Woo's compilation called Rain Dance. And then you've got huge helpings of Chinese folk music, game OST, and classical. Not to mention sprinkles of Vocaloid and self-made crud.

I tell people that I don't have any rap on my iPod, but I'm pretty sure there are a few songs that just barely exit "techno" territory and fall more into "rap." but I'm okay with that. I don't have any hard rock, though. I used to like it but grew out of it when I started listening to Ska. I do have a lot of alternative and indie of both rock and pop varieties, disney soundtracks, broadway cast recordings of various musicals, and plenty of Techno.

OH YEAH. And I also have electronic on my iPod. Forgot about that.

Ooh, lovely, lots of genre variety. ^^
I commend you though. I can't get myself into liking folk, no matter how hard I try. D;

I have more music in my iTunes library than I can ever listen to. **glares at "19.1 days" at the bottom**
and yet I feel the need to collect more! D:

Espy 10-18-2010 03:02 AM

Ditto. Maybe....95% of the songs on my iPod are rarely ever touched.

Lucid, I have someone you should meet. Sheesh... 200+ days of music and he still wants more. The man has lost all sanity!

Lucid: 10-18-2010 03:09 AM

Fallen, what kinds of folk are you trying to listen to? I started out my folk-listening with some folk-pop by the Weepies. they're a little folky but plenty poppy and some of my favorite songs ever are by them. World Spins Madly On is beautiful. from there I started listening to a lot of indie folk. a lot of this music really shaped my musical tastes. it became a matter of liking beautiful music and beautiful voices for me, rather than...whatever I liked about music before. XD White Winter Hymnal is a song that I have never, ever heard a negative thing about. if you don't like this song, then you're right, folk just isn't your thing.

YES I DO WANT TO MEET HIM. we can connect computers and swap music! XD though I do have a friend already that has a ton, though I don't know if it's 200+ days. that's really impressive.

My first exposure to Folk was through Folk Metal, a.k.a. Flogging Molly. It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth (I must have listened to the wrong song or something) and ever since I've cringed at the mentioning for Folk. I really should try listening to it again, but for some reason I freak out. xD

I'll listen to those late. (It's 12:20pm, everyone's sleeping, and I've lost my headphones.) D:

Haha, I'll tell him to join the site. Be warned though: He's totally arrogant about his collection. xD
It is really impressive though. (I wanted to steal his music when I first met him.) He wants to break the record of... what was it? 1 million songs? I can't remember. I'll just shanghai him into coming to this site and explaining it himself. xD

haha. sounds like an interesting kid. I can't wait to meet him. C:
I never really liked Flogging Molly much, so I can see where Folk might have gone wrong for you.

**tucks White in with a pillow and blankie**

Fallen 10-18-2010 11:27 AM

Haha, not a kid so much anymore, but at heart I guess he could be. xD
Yeah, well, at least I know I'm not alone with that. D;

(Just to say it: I think it's so cute how everyone calls #FFFFFF "White".
Because... the code... and... yeah. I just think it's cute. xD)

I ask people to call me White or Lee because pronouncing #FFFFFF is possible, but it does not sound very nice. xP
