Howdy willis
Roo, this whole B.C.E and C.E. thing strikes me as being very pointless. I still find the urge to say it's 2013 A.D. I get that that isn't politically correct, but we're still measuring time the same way and by the same event, what was the point of changing Anno Domini to "Common Era"? |
Yes, if there's no change in the way it's being measured, it hardly makes a difference what you call it. Just like having the nativity scene out and calling it a winter decoration. Uh, OK.
|
I mean, we're still using the Gregorian Calendar, and FYI that calendar isn't universal so trying to make it PC is kind of pointless and stupid, in Aisa it's sometimes referred to as the "Western Calendar".
|
'Deed.. People just need to give it up. It only means what you make of it.
|
Exactly, and if you're going to use the Gregorian Calendar why bother changing the annotations? I would argue that they aren't significant enough to warrant the cost of getting the terms legally altered.
|
And then what about the names of the days of the week? Oooohhhh, they reference other religions!
|
Soon we'll be calling them "First Day, Second Day, Third Day....."
I mean c'mon, Saturday is supposed to be "Sabbath Day" |
"Day One of month two" has such a nice ring to it, though.
|
But at the same time,
it costs to make that shit official and we do not need to spend our tax money on being PC. |

Certainly not.
Edit; Well, hello there. And yes, exactly. |
Howdy Espy!
Rooo, but anyways, if you're going to use the Gregorian Calender in the first place, there's no point to changing it for the sake of political correctness. |
Yup yup.
*chews on the Willis* |

|
Because I'm hungry. o uo
