Raven nodded.
-- So Nic quickly found some Salsa music and started playing it on his pad. |
Wolfe nodded back, "Then let's leave, Raven," he replied before looking at Rosen, "Give Nic a break for now," he ordered which started a whole 'nother round of complaining. Wolfe walked out.
-- Laurel remained seated, just watching Nic. |
Raven followed after Wolfe obediently.
-- So Nic gently got Laurel up and took the lead as he started to do what Laurel had taught him last night. He mirrored the moves almost too perfectly. He really did seem to be a genius. |
Wolfe started off down the hall then turned, like he didn't expect Raven to be following him, "Go find Yue," he repeated a little confused.
-- Laurel allowed herself to relax a bit as Nic led. She moved in a little closer, "You're... amazing," she breathed. |
Raven nodded, turning toward Yue's room and walking off.
-- Nic didn't say anything as he focused on the dancing. Like with the ballroom, he was still lacking the emotional connection. |
Laurel paused for a moment, "... Don't you feel how I close I am?" she whispered.
|
Nic blinked, not sure what Laurel meant by that. "... Yes," he replied.
|
"It's not... about the moves," she tried to explain, "it's... the connection you feel with your partner."
|
That really seemed to confuse Nic.
|
"Doesn't it feel good... to move like this?" Laurel whispered before kissing his neck.
|
"... Yes," Nic replied, even though the correlation between emotion and dance was still clearly lost to him.
|
Laurel sighed a little, giving up as she continued to dance close to him.
|
So Nic kept dancing with Laurel. He tried to understand what Laurel meant, but he didn't appear to be making any progress.
|
Laurel watched him puzzle over it for moment before smiling a little, "Dancing... is a form of flirting," she tried again, "You can say 'I love you,' and 'I want you' all with movements."
|
Nic gave Laurel a glance like he didn't believe her.
|
Laurel giggled a little before executing a particular difficult but very alluring set of movements. The way she moved around Nic's body screamed that she wanted him.
|
Somehow a good portion of the message appeared to be lost to Nic. He seemed to be having difficulty opening up to this kind of flirting. Like dancing wasn't meant for this.
He tried reciprocating, but he didn't quite seem to be able to put his entire heart into it yet. |
Laurel laughed a little, "You know, there's more to the art of flirting than kissing," she informed him, "Haven't you ever been to a club?"
|
"Yes," Nic replied, but not quite getting the correlation. Well, in some ways he was a genius. In others, he was clueless.
|
Laurel was silent for awhile, thinking something over, "Let's go, right now," she suddenly said with a grin.
|
Nic frowned a little. "To a club?" he clarified.
|
"Yeah! Let's go!" Laurel begged, "I just got new clothes!"
|
"... Alright..." Nic replied, sounding as thrilled as ever.
|
So Laurel broke away from him and ran off to change. When she came back her new 'clothes' were very small. She wore a strapless bra with a kind of see through mesh over the top paired with a black leather miniskirt. Laurel was really turning into a party girl. Her heels were also tall, making her practically Nic's height.
|
Nic had changed into some of the clothes Laurel had picked out for him. But he wore a shirt under the jacket.
|
Laurel pouted a little at that, "C'mon... I wanna see your abs," she complained, poking his stomach.
|
Nic really didn't seem to like the idea of being in public without a shirt to keep his back covered. But he didn't want Laurel to be upset either. So after some debating he took the shirt off and put the jacket back on.
|
Laurel grinned, putting a hand on his abs as she kissed his lips lightly.
|
It didn't seem to help him want to do this any more. But he sucked it up and went to a club with Laurel.
-- A little over an hour after Raven went looking for Yue, he started looking for Wolfe. |
So Laurel picked the loudest one she could find and then dragged Nic inside the smokey, body-filled room.
-- Wolfe was in his room, sitting on the couch and apparently waiting for Raven. |
Nic seemed to grow more uncomfortable by the second, but he refrained from complaining.
-- So Raven invited himself in. He shook his head a little before popping a piece of candy from his winnings in his mouth. "Yue doesn't know who David is," he told Wolfe before trying to hand him the bag of candy. |
So Laurel started dancing with him before getting hit on by another guy.
-- Wolfe pondered that for a moment, "Blaze has read Nic's past, perhaps she knows something," he suggested. He didn't move to take the bag. |
Nic pulled Laurel away just at the right moment so some of the crowd moved in between the guy and Laurel.
-- Raven didn't say anything, still holding the candy out to him. |
Laurel blinked at Nic's suddenly movement then smiled at him and continued dancing.
-- Wolfe finally seemed to get it and took the bag, taking out a piece... strawberry, a first for him... and popping it in his mouth before tossing the bag back. |
Nic still wasn't getting it, and he was still uncomfortable. Every time he bumped into someone else it was like another drop of sweat appeared on his forehead.
-- Raven seemed a little disappointed when Wolfe tossed the bag back, but quickly got over it. "... Should I talk to Blaze then?" he asked. "Or do you want to?" |
Laurel sighed a little before wrapping her arms around his neck and drawing him in closer, "You're alright," she whispered in his ear before kissing his neck.
-- Wolfe paused, "I'll do it," he replied. |
For once, that didn't seem to help as he started to shake a little. But he kept dancing.
-- Raven nodded, eating another piece of candy childishly. |
Laurel paused before sighing and pulling away, "Alright... let's just lea-" but she stopped dead, seeing something over Nic's shoulder.
-- Wolfe didn't seem to like strawberry. |
Nic didn't notice at first, but then he slowly turned to try and find what Laurel was looking at.
-- Raven managed not to chuckle and made a mental note. After another moment, he nodded and started to walk out. |
Laurel was gone by then, darting around him and streamlining through the crowds. This was the first time Nic had seen her use the benefit of her new eyes, she darted in and around the people in the crowd with unnatural grace and ease.
-- "Where are you going?" Wolfe asked him. |
