At least from listening to you all, I don't know what I would do with a tarot deck if I can't sense anything from it though.

They have a tendency to interact with the user. You won't really need to sense anything to be able to read them; they are, after all, just cards. To read the energy off of them, it really helps if your intuitive to begin with. Really, reading the energies isn't so much about having a special perception as it is just being aware that there is energy. Don't look at the deck expecting to see it's energy initially; just look at it realizing that there is energy, whether you see it or not.

I believe the people I come from call it "faith".

Serra Britt 02-09-2012 10:39 PM

I suppose that could work. I'm used to sensing stuff off people so I think that might have been throwing me off.

Arsis_von_Neaera 02-09-2012 11:26 PM

Yes. People, especially certain people, can be very high energy. However, so can places, plants, animals, and the vast majority of nature. The same energies you can see with people can be seen in nature. The easiest of these energies are usually seen in really old places.

The tarot really just reflect the energy of a person; this reflection is generally created in having the inquirer shuffle the deck. What appears is usually a sort of energetic current which, depending on the type of reading done, can really be used to interpret any kind of message that the tarot might be trying to convey.

Some decks have personalities, some have their own intentions, some can even be powerful in and of themselves, but one must remember that the tarot are just a tool; the intention you use them with is what determines the results.

Lol my one deck will just give me "static" if the question isn't important enough. ^_^
How's everyone handling the cold?

Arsis_von_Neaera 02-10-2012 06:27 AM

Ironically, I have a cold because of the cold. Other than that, lots of hot chocolate and ginger bread cookies.

Taiania 02-10-2012 11:12 AM

Ooooh I could seriously go for some gingerbread right now. :D

Arsis_von_Neaera 02-10-2012 11:47 AM

They didn't QUITE turn out how I wanted them, but I think I was imagining ginger snaps instead of ginger bread. They are rather good though. I didn't even bother to put icing on them at all.

*noms cookies*

Would you like one?

Taiania 02-10-2012 02:35 PM

Definitely, but it may get mouldy in the post XD

Ok, a question for all you pill and potions masters. My asthma is playing up badly, I can not get rid of this cough and my doctor is about as much use as a chocolate frying pan. So any home remedies? Old wives tales? Anything? I'm at the point of desperation as I desperately do not want to end up in hospital again. Watching the bunnies in the courtyard isn't worth the stress. ^_^;

I knew a priestess who made me tinctures for my allergies that worked like a charm, but I'm afraid I no longer have any, nor am I presently connected with her. However, my mother has several tea's designed for antihistamines. I'm not sure if that would help you though.

Taiania 02-11-2012 11:54 AM

I'll give anything a go. :)

Dawn 02-13-2012 09:40 AM

lol.. I have always been interested in learning Tarot cards.

I am lucky never to had allergies. Only problems I never faced was colds and I usually drank hot drinks and nap.

Taiania 02-13-2012 02:37 PM

I used to get heyfever but that's eased off. Lots of honey is good.

Dawn 02-13-2012 05:30 PM

Yea, I have been taking honey with hot water when I get cold now.

I can't remember what my friend said about her asthma.. she had it when I first met her and I know she stopped having problems with it when we got into High School and still isn't having problems with it to my knowledge.

Taiania 02-13-2012 06:58 PM

Some people grow out of it. Lucky things. :)

Taiania 02-15-2012 07:12 PM

Well, my breathing's clearing up thankfully. But sadly my depression's not. My doctor fobbed me off with sleeping pills that would be dangerous for me to take. I've complained and plan to change doctors, but that means I'm still stuck in my dark bubble. I've tried to cleanse my system of negativity but it just seems to throw it around in the air.
Oh well, with that , how is everyone else doing?
