Damn! That better be a really good set!

They are her favorite ergonomic hooks and she has been wanting a set of them a while and finally took the leap.

Ohh...yeah, ergonomic ones can be pretty pricy.
But you know what? I bought an ergonomic loom hook on clearance, and I 100% support buying ergonomic stuff for crafting now because it is so oddly comfy to use despite it's size. Most loom hooks I can only use for so long, but I can use the ergonomic one for hours with no finger/hand pain.

I've never tried an ergonomic hook, but my hands hurt most when doing regular knitting... because I always manage to poke my fingers with the needles somehow -.-"

Ah, that makes sense. They'll be worth the money.

I always had that problem back when I was first learning. I think for me it was because my tension was off and my stitches were too tight on the needle, so I needed to use my finger to help get the stitch I was working, off without other stitches slipping. Or something of that nature. It's been almost a decade since I last tried knitting on needles...

i use and love the clover soft touch hooks. i have them for my C - J (including 7) hooks =)

Addi Swing hooks is what mom got, she has two and will wind up with one double because of that, but she loves the ones she has and her hands are getting worse in general so it's a solid investment.

Thank you! It's encouraging to hear other people faced similar issues when learning. Yup, tightness may very well be the problem - at least I used to crochet extremely tight, so I wouldn't be surprised if my knitting is also tighter than it should be.

I agree on the solid investment. When you're growing old and your hands get worse, then at least you find some solace in still being able to do your craft hobbies. And of course when you're younger but using your hooks a lot, it also pays for them to be easy on the hands.

I am sad. My circular hand saw is dying. Also I want to buy wood to make painting panels but guess what I can't afford. ; n;

Edit: Mom got me a new saw and some wood! ; 0; She used some of the small claims settlement money to do so. ; 0;
