Nope...
"An unknown bacterial infection under the skin."
Official diagnosis.

Firkash 11-11-2013 05:47 PM

Oh my.
That's so..
Random.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-12-2013 03:32 AM

Yick. Are you getting that fixed?

Firkash 11-12-2013 04:48 AM

I hope so..

Kaguya 11-13-2013 04:01 AM

Sorry about the vanishing act the last few days, it's been hectic here and I left my laptop charger inside a shop.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-13-2013 04:30 AM

Oh that's annoying. I can't function without my charger since I fried my battery.

Kaguya 11-13-2013 09:58 AM

My battery has the shelf life of fifteen minutes.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-13-2013 03:19 PM

Yeah, that's about right for me, I think. I haven't really timed it, just seen it drop from 92% to 8% and then black over the span of about a minute and a half. That was mildly concerning. I blame Eden Eternal and Skyrim, the one time I played without a cold pack under the rack my laptop sits on.

Kaguya 11-14-2013 12:32 PM

Ouch, that is just not nice.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-14-2013 05:15 PM

My laptop is starting to feel it's age anyway, so new one may be in the not so distant future. It has now taken to generating this atrocious noise on occasion when I turn it on. It's just something small that's bouncing around in the case fan, but I now carry around a can of compressed air along with power cord so that I can dislodge whatever it is that is bouncing around in there. Irritating because I just had the case fan replaced last year.

Kaguya 11-14-2013 06:08 PM

My laptop is so old it's a single core processor.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-14-2013 06:13 PM

I'm not entirely sure what that means so I'll assume it's older than mine. I got mine in 2009, which isn't so bad really. I do wish it could handle Skyrim a little better though. I'm tired of having the tar beaten out of me because the guy I'm fighting decides to move sideways, and I can't find him again fast enough for the lag.

Kaguya 11-14-2013 06:15 PM

I can't play skyrim on mine.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-14-2013 06:36 PM

No, I'd imagine not.

I'm actually trying to decide if should get a desktop instead, since this laptop still does the job just fine, as long as I'm not gaming. Space around here is limited though, and I do like being able to move around. I'll have to save for a few months but it's not impossible.

Lauv Keiko 11-14-2013 08:16 PM

that means, the computer only has one brain. If your computer is dual-core, it has two brains (makes the process faster); and if it is quad-core, it has 4 brains, which makes it ultimately faster. :D

Quiet Man Cometh 11-14-2013 08:24 PM

...I think my computer has two brains.
