I feel like I am annoying people with all my talking abut my dumb hobbies. And I feel like I'm kinda being pushed away by various peopel and I feel super insecure yay.
New Hobby: battling insecurity by hiding in my bedroom all day. |
*snuggles*
Can't push me away! Just for the record... |
Why I never walked away
Why I played myself this way Now I see your testing me pushes me away -rocks out- Man I need to listen to older Linkin Park some more. xD |
Ah man
..I miss older Linkin Park! Good music. |
YEEAH! I have their newer stuff too but sometimes you gotta go back in time to the original sound. xD
|
Yeah...I still have all my old cds from when I was in middle school and high school...
Lots of potentially embarrassing music in that collection. |
I'm pretty cheap, so I have fairly inexpensive hobbies!
I read, but I get most of my books at the library or at fill a bag book sales. I crochet, but I mostly use hand me down or donated yard (I've been crocheting scarves for The Red Scarf Project, which puts the scarves in care packages and sends them to foster kids in college). I do yoga, but I usually just take the free classes (there are usually 10-15 free classes near me a year) or get DVDs from the library. I garden, which cost a fortune initially. But I've been collecting seeds, so I am going growing them this spring. |
@Kaderin: In my dresser in my storage unit I have locked away my middle and high school CD collection. But I don't think I am embarrassed by much of it. I still like the stuff I had then. Besides my sisters have all the bubblegum pop stuff while I was an alt rock kid. xD
@Sanssouci: I have not read a book in ages... -looks sheepishly at the three library books I have has since August- I want to0 crochet but my hands won't cooperate. Instead of yoga I use a pedal thing while i play video games but I wouldn't call that a hobby in it's self like yoga is. It's more a way to get out my fidgety energy and exercise while being a lazy gamer. xD I help my mom with gardening, but I am more a flower person and she is into herbs and food plants. I also build stuff she needs for her garden if I can, like I built a raised bed, a dirt sifter, a make shift fence to keep our dogs from trampling her sunflower patch before they got tall enough for the dogs to notice. |
Gardening is more my dad's thing... Mom and I tend to kill plants despite our best efforts... though I am good at keeping air plants alive, unless someone in the house dumps the glass one is soaking in down the drain that has a garbage disposal unit... *grumbles and mutters about someone in her household needing to learn to pay attention and to check things before dumping them*

I broke my finger a few months ago, so I haven't really crocheted in a while.
I have a pedal thing too, but I don't really like mine. It's too easy, so it doesn't really do anything for me. I'd like to get a better one or an exercise bike for when I watch tv! I wish I could build things! |
Oh, I've been coloring a lot lately too. I've been playing a lot of computer games where I basically have to wait around a lot, so I color while I wait.
|
@Den: Poor plant! What an awful way to go!
@Sanssouci: This is my pedal thing I love it. Building things is probably one of my favorite things to do. I feel accomplished and if I feel like shit I can look at what I made and be like "Yeah, I did that." and pat myself on the back. xD I'm actually thinking about making a coloring book to self publish or sell digitally on amazon. :O |
Damies: Ermmm...I have boy-bands and girl groups. But after junior high, I got more into rock and other genres. Honestly, I really like pretty much all music to an extent.
|
My meaning was they might be embarrassing more than the rock to own, cuz I can pretend I never liked it (even though I totally did for a while) xD
|
Yeah...it definitely is potentially embarrassing....let's see...I had/have: Backstreet Boys (2 cds), NSYNC (1 cd), 98 Degrees (1 cd), A-Teens (1 cd), B*Witched (2cds), and Steps (1 cd).
So yeah... |
