Xin Nian is Chinese for New Year, its not a dragon item its a new year item. The dragon items are just a convenient side affect. Also i don't see how 2 items containing dragons is over done? As we have more than 8 items with wings but people keep asking for more. Dragons is one of our mascots.

I am just illustrating the fact that we can do as many items with the same theme and still make them completely different items. We strive to make sure all our items are different.

I say overdone because they are too close together, if you waited till at least summer then released the xinnian (even though it goes completely out of theme with New years ect so it's understandable why it was released in January) it wouldn't feel as much overdone. Just releasing too many similar (should I say traits?) so close to each other makes them feel overdone. So if you did release another dragon related or type of item it will feel overdone.
It's true you should give people who keep asking for similar stuff, but if you just keep releasing similar items so close to each other they lose their value as an item. Sorta how the Pandora boxes were, everyone wanted them for the wings, then feather folk came out and people used that, Yearly wings came out and made them feel overdone for me, and after that the taskal war wings came out and I just felt they were completely overdone now. And yet I bet we have more wings to come.. (I missed a few wings haven't I?)

Illusions that only is seen that way, and we tend to go with the most demanded items. if an item theme is still being demanded we will go with it. Whether we feel like its over done or not, so if we release items that seem overdone to you, you should speak up more often because the themes I choose monthly I only choose after a few days of researching, and with some staff voting in some cased. This months items were in high demand with the staff on top of a few users wanting these items. If we release items of similar themes you really need to see why we are because I do pay attention to the forums.
