Uhura,she was amazing!

I went out tonight and I saw two people that needed to be told off by me, and I did, both actually took it so well, and actually apologized, very sincerely I might add. I accepted and moved on, but I let them know that they people they were trusting were not to be trusted. Felt good to speak my truth.

I don't allow any hatred or words used that demean any group of people.

Lavender le Fay 07-08-2017 12:36 PM

Hey, good on you! We live in a messy times, where people are too scared to say anything, yet others say too much. I've been really annoyed at white people getting offended by racism. Yes, it's nice that you want to help, but your job, as an anti-racist white person is to let the people of colour speak for themselves, and stand behind them. Yet, these fools jump off, start mouthing off, and actually shut down the people of colour, and that, if you ask me is just as bad as racism.

Moonshadow 07-09-2017 11:39 PM

I totally agree with you. Some people fall all over themselves trying to show others they are not racists and instead make it worse. It just becomes: STFU now I hate all people of color all gays, because I'm tired of blah blah blah. I don't think I explained that right but you get what I mean.

You don't have to make an issue of differences, that means you notice them.

Lavender le Fay 07-10-2017 06:02 PM

I think I know. There are tons of people who are tired of hearing about gay rights, racism, that they turn hateful, and they're not even hearing it from us or people of colour.

I also don't know how I feel about the new LGBT flag that included a brown and black stripe. I mean, yes, we should be united and supportive, because the issues are similar, but still not the same. I'm pretty sure the root of homophobia and racism traces back to the same people... I don't know, it's gotten so messy, and only going to get messier.

Lavender le Fay 07-10-2017 06:10 PM

I forgot to share my recent thoughts. I think we're in an age when we're trying to evolve, spiritually, and the process of shedding past mindsets is rocky. Maybe someday we'll have a... higher vibration point, correct me if I botched that, and we'll see unicorns!

I've also come to the observation that all the friendships I've formed 1 on 1 are going great, and the ones that came from public interaction are toxic, silly, and wearing me out. Makes sense, though.

Moonshadow 07-10-2017 11:35 PM

Intolerance/racism/hatred is rampant right now throughout the world. Sad state of affairs.

I totally agree with you. We are evolving, ascending, making the shift. More and more people are coming to realize that what we have been taught and what we thought we "knew" are illusions. You are totally correct about the vibration thing. We can't see other inter=dimensional beings because they vibrate too high and we vibrate too low.

Lavender le Fay 07-16-2017 08:12 PM

I'd maybe say that there's less of that than there used to be, but our eyes are open to seeing it finally. Remember, not long ago, racism, homophobia and misogyny were the norm. Each time someone says "Oh, the world's so much worse now." I say "I doubt that, I think we're just finally opening our eyes." You can't see a mess with closed eyes.

I took a little break, kept my computer off.

Moonshadow 07-17-2017 10:29 PM

I have not logged in for a few days. I think too much social media is bad for you!
I am reading a book called Raise Your Vibration by Kyle Gray. I really recommend it. I just finished Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset (1,124 pages) It took me a month and I did it because it was actually very good. I cried a couple of times in certain sections and of course at the end.

Lavender le Fay 07-18-2017 12:51 AM

You have the best recommendations, one day I'll have to take a whole list of material from you. The day I can afford anything.

Social media can be very bad for you. Breaks are necessary.

I love your username, Lavender le Fay.

Moonshadow 07-18-2017 10:22 PM

@Sternum: Hi there!

I spend most of my money on books/music and stones. I have cut back considerably though, except on books. I used to go to B&N used section and spend about $25 mostly books for friends. I stopped that. I buy my clothes at the Salvation Army or Goodwill. You can get name brand stuff for very little.

daikokunyo 07-19-2017 05:46 AM

I'm a student, so most of my money goes for college stuff ;w;

Moonshadow 07-19-2017 11:00 PM

Oh that is too bad! Not really, you will get the benefits of your college degree.

daikokunyo 07-20-2017 04:47 AM

Hehe true. In my case it's worth it :s-smile:

Lavender le Fay 07-20-2017 05:13 AM

Thank you, Sternum. Welcome. Your name is, um, stern. (Dad joke as fuck, I'm sorry.)

daikokunyo 07-20-2017 06:24 AM

*waggles a stern finger* you bad dad joker!

I'm joking
That was cute :f-squee:

Moonshadow 07-20-2017 10:28 PM

The amount of cuteness on this thread is so cute :)

Its so hot and humid here today. I have two fans blowing on me, and I'm stick hot.

daikokunyo 07-21-2017 04:04 AM

Hopefully it'll break and all that humidity will turn to rain :o

Lavender le Fay 07-21-2017 05:17 AM

Hello again. It's been hell here, fires all around, smells like literal hell... Tourism done wrong. You don't let tourists run the place when they're visiting.

daikokunyo 07-21-2017 05:28 AM

Did the tourists start a fire? :s-twitch: *douses Lav with comforting huggles*

Lavender le Fay 07-21-2017 05:44 PM

Aw, hug! *squeezes onto* Probably. They never happen outside of tourist season. Well, technically, the officials who allow them to traipse around, behave as they want, with no consequences start the fire.

We didn't start the fire
It was always burning since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it

Moonshadow 07-21-2017 10:29 PM

Sternum: third day of heat and humidity and NO RAIN! I kinda miss those rainy days now.

Lav: You quoting Billy Joel? haha
Tourists can be the worst. I live in a touristy area too, but at least they keep to the Lake and the City, and leave us alone.

Lavender le Fay 07-21-2017 11:31 PM

Yes, I do really enjoy the song. It's really bad because we allow tourists to act like idiots. They might be perfectly civil people back home, but they assume they're free to let loose because no one stops them.

Moonshadow 07-22-2017 11:35 PM

They talk about the Ugly American, but I always read stories of Europeans (UK ) acting badly in those gorgeous areas of the Mediterranean. So I totally understand how you feel.

Lavender le Fay 07-24-2017 09:13 AM

Basically, most other countries tell tourists "This is our home, welcome, please enjoy, but respect what's ours." This country says "My ass is yours. Slap me around, daddy."

Moonshadow 07-24-2017 10:25 PM

You are so funny, but yeah I know some countries are like that. They love that tourist dollar. I know for years anyone who went to Paris always complained at how rude the French are, well, with all the terrorism, I'm sure they wish they could get some of the tourists that they have lost back. I know for me I am staying in the USA and even then not visiting big cities. There's plenty to see here.

Lavender le Fay 07-25-2017 03:32 AM

Thank you, I'm glad that came across as funny. Honestly, we're not even getting that tourist dollar. The people who come here pack up everything from home, even bread, then act like they own everything. It annoys me to no end, which I'm sure I've made clear..

I've seen instances of when they don't want to let people in the Louvre for how they're dressed, or harass people on.. that famous graveyard in Paris.

daikokunyo 07-25-2017 12:45 PM

I wonder if it's also a case of not respecting a place because it isn't where you live so you don't care if you mess it up. How selfish.

I love the video and lyrics of We Didn't Start The Fire, it's like fun history :D

Moonshadow 07-25-2017 10:43 PM

@Lav and Sternum I dislike disrespect, I cannot abide it at all! People just don't realize that in the whole scheme of things we are all One.

I used to love Billy Joel, Piano Man is a great song. Also Simon and Garfunkel's The Boxer

Lavender le Fay 07-27-2017 09:25 PM

I kicked out people for using the other F word in my house, or telling my dog to go away. My mother's former friend asked me to lock him in a room and I told her she has 3 seconds to pick up her things and leave, after that her things belong to me.

Moonshadow 07-27-2017 11:00 PM

I love it!
My dog used to have her favorite outdoor chair, it was a chaise lounge and when guests would come over and they would lay on it, she would harass them and I would tell them, you're in her chair so if she bothers you its on you. They would move, my dog was VERY persistent.

Lavender le Fay 07-28-2017 08:25 AM

They're family, they live there, you don't. You don't get to pick on family. Know what I mean?

I went to the beach! Yes, yes, I did! I went diving, and.. well, there are lots of plastic plates and forks on the floor, so that continues the topic of awful tourists. I did find a nice piece of pale flint, though. It's this beach with volcanic rock that has a lot of flint, but it's dark brown or grey, never light.

I have this friend... Let's call him a friend. He's basically in my group of... In this chat room I frequent, and he's constantly trying to score a sugar daddy. All he talks about how rough his life is. Poor me, I don't have food, my dad hates me, I have issues. So, uh.. why do you play video games all day, which do cost a lot of money, instead of going to school? This is a stupid thing to bring up, but I've seen him try to get attention by lying for months now.

daikokunyo 07-30-2017 12:47 AM

He sounds immature >.>

Lavender le Fay 07-30-2017 11:27 AM

He definitely seems like he is.

daikokunyo 07-30-2017 11:50 AM

Wants to be taken care of all his life and do nothing for himself except play. Yep, definitely immature.

Moonshadow 07-30-2017 10:46 PM

@Lav did you find any obsidian? That is my absolutely favorite rock/mineral.

I hate people that are users. FortheloveofGod! Get a fucking job!
Online friends, can be a blessing or...a curse!

Lavender le Fay 07-31-2017 12:34 AM

I don't think there is any around. I love obsidian, too. Though once I found dried tar, and thought it was obsidian.. Still pretty.

The sad thing is he has all these perverts and lechers giving him life advice, basically, making things worse, kind of.. making him think they want to help him. Also, he never stops.

daikokunyo 07-31-2017 01:51 AM

Instead of helping himself he wants to be taken advantage of... wow
Did you find anything else on the trip?

Moonshadow 07-31-2017 11:18 PM

@Lav remember when I told you I found a blue rock on the beach and it was a big wad of chewing gum? hahaha

This year I will be in Maine for the solar eclipse. I wish I was home though, but on the beach it might be cool, will be hard not to look at the sun. I heard that they are selling fake eclipse glasses.

daikokunyo 08-01-2017 12:01 AM

Fake eclipse glasses? Does that mean the glasses are supposed to protect you when you look at the sun during eclipse but actually don't?
