Asami 02-02-2012 03:41 PM

Maybe maybe not... idk

Ducky 02-02-2012 03:43 PM

well, even death doesn't sturr up much emotion in me.

Asami 02-02-2012 03:50 PM

Oh I see
You know what I've always thought.. what happens when I die? Like online? XD I mean no one knows my Pw so... idk xD

Ducky 02-02-2012 03:54 PM

Funny you should say that. I think about that a lot as well o-o

But I've figured everyone would find out. People would say stuff on my facebook or what ever, like RIP messages, then I have people who use all the other sites I use on Facebook. So people on every site i use should be aware. Also, Nexy has my passwords xD

Asami 02-02-2012 04:01 PM

Yeah idk we are nerds lol
But if I were to die I would want my items given to a certain few people... Omg what if they made wills?? XD

Ducky 02-02-2012 04:05 PM

I've thought about having an 'upon death' backup plan XD Like.. write a letter that gets sent out to certain people i know on the sites i use, with my passwords and what to do with my stuff XD

Asami 02-02-2012 04:07 PM

I mean would that be a good feature like a will? For users who quit, die, ectect that would make me feel better ya know? So the items aren't left to rot on my account

Broken Muse 02-02-2012 04:15 PM

That'd be kinda nice for those who don't have someone else who knows their password for when they die.

Ducky 02-02-2012 04:16 PM

I doubt that would ever work. They would need to get 100% proof that a user has died. Someone could easily come on and say their friend has died, when they have really just gone on hiatus or something. As for quitting.. if you're still alive you can get off your ass and hand out the items yourself.

At really no one is going to spend the time coding such a thing, as it may end up never being used XD

Asami 02-02-2012 04:17 PM

Yeah I guess lul. I was just thinking

Broken Muse 02-02-2012 04:18 PM

Just because you're alive Ducky, doesn't mean you can just hand out the items. Say you're in a coma, what ya gonna do now?

Ducky 02-02-2012 04:21 PM

well, if they've quit I'm going to assume they're still fully able to do something. Being comatosed would be forced hiatus or something. Quitting implies a concious decision to do so.

So, are we talking something that automatically hands out your items after a certain time of inactivity? Which you can set on or off, so users who like to have their hoards even if they quit are still happy.

Broken Muse 02-02-2012 04:23 PM

That'd work. And if you know you're about to take a long haitus because of reasons beyound your control you can just turn it off. The only problem would once again be comatose people, as they normally don't prepare ahead of time for things like that.

Asami 02-02-2012 04:24 PM

Like you write and and the mods would take care of it or something. Idek xD just sounded interesting... like honestly I can barely get on zan and its hard to get rid.of the items xD

Ducky 02-02-2012 04:27 PM

well, make it a requirement to choose on or the other. Then, if you end up in the coma, you still have your preference set.

Maybe jsut an.. auto-hand-out feature? Input a group of usernames, and it will automatically share the items out between the set users. I would imagine it would be a pretty big bother for a mod to deal with it personally. It would also get rid of any kind of bias or favouritism that may take place if a real human was involved.

Asami 02-02-2012 04:28 PM

Yeah I guess xD lol

Broken Muse 02-02-2012 04:34 PM

Or if you weren't sure who you wanted to send it to, you could place random, which would just throw the items out at anyone and if they aren't accepted within 24 hours they go to another person untill all items are distributed.

Ducky 02-02-2012 04:37 PM

are we talking site wide, or just within your friends list? I would imagine Friends list would be the preferred option.

Asami 02-02-2012 04:41 PM

Friends lists would probably be good

Ducky 02-02-2012 04:44 PM

having an option like that would also be a bad thing. You could make a decision to quit, or give away all your stuff, in a high emotional state. Then end up regretting it very soon after.

Asami 02-02-2012 04:46 PM

You could do that anyways ducky lul

Ducky 02-02-2012 04:48 PM

Yes, but it would require a lot more effort to do it WITHOUT such a feature. when something takes longer, and requires more effort, you're more likely to think twice about it, or change your mind halfway through and at least save some things.

Asami 02-02-2012 04:51 PM

Yep that is true

Ducky 02-02-2012 04:54 PM

So the likelihood of people making a decision they're going to regret would be greatly increased :/ Perhaps have a few extra layers of security to it. something like donate>are you sure?>enter your password.

Asami 02-03-2012 12:58 PM

Yeah but do thy do that before? Or what. Because again the death thing..

Sir Quackers McWaddleton 02-04-2012 08:12 PM

that was if it was a general feature allowing you to share out your invo, not necessarily a death related feature.

Angel Spirit Girl 02-04-2012 11:27 PM

I could see that feature being abused a lot.

Asami 02-04-2012 11:29 PM

How so angel i mean like elaborate

Angel Spirit Girl 02-04-2012 11:33 PM

Like as was mentioned -- people saying someone is dead when they weren't.

Asami 02-04-2012 11:34 PM

Yeah but they could always double check. And would have to provide and obituary or something..

Angel Spirit Girl 02-04-2012 11:41 PM

Yup. You would have to have safeguards. It is a nice idea, though.

Asami 02-04-2012 11:43 PM

Yeah just a weird idea I had

Ducky 02-05-2012 10:48 AM

You can't claim anyone else as dead unless you can produce viable proof. I wouldn't think they want to spending staff time in double checking though.

Anyway..how are people today?

Asami 02-05-2012 01:06 PM

Yeah new subject
Im okay very tired.. had to play clarinet

Ducky 02-06-2012 03:42 PM
