*points to previous post* What she said.....I don't really mind the hump day part, more the lab and having to stay later....also...*stomach grumbles* No time for foods before lab.....or even a snack/munchie.

Pinkie 08-29-2012 02:40 PM

Oh no thats not good. You need to eat Mr. Alpha! =nods head=

Also...hump day?

Tiva 08-29-2012 02:45 PM

Middle of the week.. it is called hump day because after it you are over the hump or hill and sailing towards the weekend. He will get dinner after lab.... I forgot to grab him lunch today. So kind of my fault he is starving.

Alpha 08-29-2012 02:47 PM

"Hump Day" as in it is the middle of the week days and once you are done with it, you are "over the hump".

Will eat after lab since it will be time for dinner....or close enough.

And not your fault sweetie, it happens. I didn't think of it either, so my bad.

Pinkie 08-29-2012 02:48 PM

Hmmm its weird but I have never heard of that expression before.

Tiva 08-29-2012 02:48 PM

Get off trisphee and do your lab!

it maybe an American thing. You are Canadian right?

Alpha 08-29-2012 02:51 PM

We are doing the intro part right now and it's kinda boring.....not into actual lab yet.....

Pinkie 08-29-2012 02:52 PM

Yeah I sure am =nods= And it could be you never know then again I have expressions that not many have heard of either lol could just be the way you grew up with the saying lol

Tiva 08-29-2012 02:54 PM

My mom calls it that... as do my teachers. It also may be a southern area thing. I may have to look into it. *hits Alpha* do your lab!

Pinkie 08-29-2012 02:56 PM

lol yeah could very well be =nods head=

Tiva 08-29-2012 02:58 PM

What saying do you use? I know y'all is a southern thing .

Pinkie 08-29-2012 03:06 PM

lol we dont have an expression for midweek just the fact that its midweek lol

Lucid: 08-29-2012 09:08 PM

I learned the hump day expression from a classmate or two in high school, but have never heard it used otherwise. I tend to use it, though, because I think it's a good expression. I used to always take naps on hump day because it got me through the week a lot easier.

Alpha 08-29-2012 09:32 PM

Well, that's certainly one way to get through the week. I'm much better now that I've had food and a nap and some time to relax.

Lucid: 08-29-2012 09:59 PM

Naps make everything better! Until you realize you're still not tired at 1 in the morning but you still have to wake up early. o_________o

Alpha 08-29-2012 10:00 PM

Yeah.....that is the bad part of a nap, especially if it's later in the day.....

Lucid: 08-29-2012 10:01 PM

I love sunday naps after church, but I have to wake up so early on monday mornings. @.@ I'll just have to figure out how to not be tired on sunday I guess.

Alpha 08-29-2012 10:03 PM

Hmmm.....could maybe try shorter nap instead?

Belial 08-29-2012 10:13 PM

I wish I could take naps but then nothing would get done and my house would divide itself by zero.

Lucid: 08-29-2012 11:06 PM

A shorter nap is probably the best way to go. Unfortunately I have little to no self control until about 4 hours of napping have already passed. >.>

Alpha 08-30-2012 08:47 AM

Oh.....well, all I could say is to set an alarm that hopefully wakes you up.

Lucid: 08-30-2012 09:45 PM

Yeah, I guess I could do that too. Meh, I'll figure it out somehow. Naps aren't that complicated, after all.

Batty 08-31-2012 12:18 AM

They are when you're as busy as we are. xDD;

I ALMOST said "busty"

Lucid: 08-31-2012 12:37 AM

loool, I totally read "busty" anyway. XD

Alpha 08-31-2012 12:38 PM

Reading that a second time.....very nice.....
