Its still something that you hope never hapens unfortbatly it has. All we can do is hope the survivers are going to be ok.

...And, the Ancient City of Nimrud is being dismantled. For once, I'm glad of Imperialistic exploitation - several pieces are safe in Britain.

*As the last bit of stuff in a line of negative things today, is not in a good mood*

The demolition of Nimrud is utter bullcrap. I'm...kind of very angry about this.

*Has been raging about it on Tumblr*
...I'll be working on drawing Lamassu and adding Akkadian and other languages to the library now...sort of to do something...even if it is really nothing...

O_O wired for sure hope you guys are ok across the pond.

trystan830 03-09-2015 09:25 PM

I got to thinking the other day of how I ended up on my path and just couldnt help but smile. My Religius Educations teacher in secondary school (high school for you guys across the pond) indruduced me and my class mates to all the wonderful types of religion we had three leasons on Paganism and I fell in love as its something I already did.

trystan830 03-14-2015 10:22 PM

that's really cool, Karastorm.

i learned about Paganism at first from online, then i read books... and then i found a Pagan Pride Day in my area, and that was pretty awesome. =)

In my area, there are apparently 2 groups (different types of Wicca) that have a bitter rivalry...and an Egyptian (Thelma?) Pagan group outside of town...but don't really fit in with them.

Karastorm 03-15-2015 07:08 AM

There really shouldbt be any types of rivalry its just pettey not one path is better then thr other in my opibion s its all the same teachings: respect nature and others around you for what or who they are.

*Nods in agreement*

Hello! I've been looking into different kinds of paganism lately; I've always had an interest in it, but until recently I didn't have the confidence to pursue my interests (I'm the weird one in the family, and they don't always like that). When I have more time I'm going to look through the links on the first page.

How do you guys feel about casting helpful or "nice" spells on people without their knowing? Like, if someone was feeling down and you wanted to cast something to cheer them up for help them out. (I haven't done any such thing, I was just wondering about it today.)

Well, I'm of the opinion that if your intentions are good and you are careful about how you go about things, then go for it. One thing I do, which is my preferred method since I've had good results in the past with it, is light a candle after holding it in my hand and focusing on my intentions.

Possibly do some research first? Sort of to make sure it works effectively.
