I was never trying to add new magic - what I was trying to say is that mantra/faith is what Kadia currently believes in - she does not see a dead god as a god, but as the effect of balance/unbalance. Her "healing" comes from a large degree of knowledge. However, she incorporates mantras in while working.
I never really considered religion magical myself. |
I might have been misreading you, then, sorry Lawtan. It's fine if she does that, it just won't change how chemicals work unless she's shoveling in power from one of the above sources at the same time.

I'll take that as a yes.

It might be a good time for Lev to stumble down the stairs right about now.

ME SALONE INVOCUS EX POTENTIA INFERNI ET NOMINE DIABOLI |
...I think I got one word out of that and I'm not sure what it was.
|
Let me have my fake Latin, damn it! :P
|
Congratulations, you have successfully confused Google.
|
oh oh oh i want to try
-ahem- INFEROS VOCO QUI HOC PECCATOR MITTANT! ... yeah, not nearly as impressive. |
Nimm! Passierst du nicht! Ich bin ein Sklave von den Feuer!
(As a note, need to brush up on my latin/greek) |
...-grabs an AMP and watches-
|
I don't know if I'm unique in this, but I actually Latin to be a really ugly and primitive language, and think it's terribly overused in fiction. :P
|
In comparison to ones like Dutch and Irish, or certain Japanese songs probably.
Ironically, Romans were a "barbaric" people...with strong technology and a greed for grandeur that caused them to make a very successful empire. In my opinion. |
Well, they were also really really good at assimilating said barbarians, making friends out of former enemies. The Roman identity and ethos that spread to their conquered territories was what held their empire together for as long as it did.
|
Yes. Doesn't mean I won't give more respect to the conquered than the conqueror.

all y'all just be hos

Sorry, all. This new job has been kicking my ass. +60 hour work weeks. Money is grand, but still. The hours. Ugh. Give me time to read, and I will post very, very soon (as in tonight). Seems like I have missed a lot. EDIT: Someone feel free to add me to Skype, if you like. Find Zeroptimus/Lokithiel. If you need to keep in touch with me, anyway. Life gets busy on me and I forget the things that I truly enjoy. DOUBLE EDIT: Not really sure where I should place Lev. Should I have left him outside the blast away from the group, or a mad dash to join? |
Two user names or is it one long name with a backslash in it?
|
Umm...
*doesn't have skype...* Today already sucks, so I'll be taking time to write up kadia... |
Well, clearly you need to get it. :P (we're all on there)
And it's free. :X |
Permission to add to Rurik's gear? An electric wiremesh net?
|
You can... but do think carefully about consequences. :P
|
What would be the consequences of her resisting on a...oh I don't know, throwing fire in Thomas's face, hitting the wailing angel, and throwing marble columns at Diogenes? Death? If you kill Rurik, it would be the equivalent of tearing a permanently open wound in her soul...
As she doesn't know you won't, she is ready to fight everyone into the next trap... |
Well hypothetically if she did that -- fire won't really bother Thomas unlike it's hot enough to flash-melt his titanium bones, which -- *looks up* -- would require something in excess of 3,000 degrees F. I wouldn't advise testing that even if she could somehow kill him instantly, as his soldiers wouldn't take too kindly to it. Plus, we really don't want a TPK... not to mention killing Thomas instantly is more than likely outside anyone here's abilities given his theurgic power. (See the priest we fought in the last game who had his heart ripped out and his skull blasted apart and kept fighting us for a while. READ: until Lev turned into a gore spider and CONSUMED him.)
If someone agitates the angel, the result will require immediate attention by all parties involved, I can say that much. This is really her best hope to get out of this. *looks at fishboy* And throwing a marble column at Diogenes would be impressive, considering there aren't any. :P I take it she isn't aware he's more or less on her side? I mean, I'm really not trying to give you a hard time here, I want them both to survive, it's just... a little bound by the shackles of his character here. (And I'm not against Thomas getting killed, but I was planning for it later. If he dies now, we'll have a much harder time coming up, but that might be more interesting...) If I had to suggest an alternative to provoking the angel, if enough the party declares against him, it might give him pause. He knows Diogenes is in absolutely no shape to fight him, so doesn't really take his threat seriously, but if enough of the others turned on him to the point where even if he comes out on top, the mission's likely to fail, I imagine he'd see the wisdom in reining himself in. |
Hmm...
*goes to rewrite* Essentially, I am trying to play Kadia's character - she is very different when she is "hyperfocused" as I would call it. Not the most effective/logical, but a gun in her face (and more importantly, Rurik's) would "trigger" her. Umm...what is in the area besides an angel and rocks? |
There's not a whole lot here, it looks more or less like this:

(Was thinking Chapel outside, caverns with columns on the inside)
Like this: |
Ah, heh, nope we are in a genuine industrial medical asylum for the deranged. Hell has odd taste in architecture. :P
|
Hm. I might actually join Suze and Gall on this avi thing.
If you don't mind, of course. |
I would, but don't have the items...I think...
If people are okay with it... |
I'd have to figure out what the blue water background is.
|
I think it is three different backround images
...how do you get the hidden eyes? |
I don't mind, no. And the water is the Undine RIG.
Also, give me a minute, have a response to your post Lawtan (OOC). |
No, Gall has four.
|
I'll have Tarja snap out of things soon enough. She couldn't care less who she pisses off so she'll call Thomas on things. She sees Rurik as useful. ;)
(has no water :(. Another item to add to the quest list... Like Espy said though, assuming you guys don't mind.) |
Wicked has a water-like substitute.
What are the eyes? I hope I didn't rush things by having the angel shot... |
