Glitch Aw what a cute tiny lil baby ;O;
Suze You look like a metal head, which is awesome ~ 2 ADMINS DOWN. |
Fine, fine, getting around to this. XD
It's not a particularly representative picture of what I usually look like, but it does show off the armor I'm super proud of having made. EDIT: Huh. Looking through the pictures on my phone... I didn't realize just how much weight I've lost (or perhaps more accurately, how heavy I actually had gotten up to). EDIT 2: Close-up of the scales, before I attached them: |
hi i'm galla this is me
|
I always knew Galla was prickly.
|
I see a beard.
|
Coda, i'm not seeing your pictures.... and when i click on them to see them in a new tab, there's some sort of privacy error? that could just be me though?
|
Er... crud. I thought I fixed that.
My webserver's security certificate is apparently expired. It's safe to click through to look, I promise, but I guess I should rehost those images somewhere else. EDIT: Moved to a different host, updated links. |
clicked through to see the picture this time - very cool! =)

mmy sewing skills are minimal

CODA! I'm so jeally of all the things you've made! T^T I'd love to learn to to make more things along those lines. And I love how the pattern print on the scales give it a shimmery look like how dragon scales are depicted.
|
I'm almost entirely self-taught, actually! Some of the basics I learned from my mom and grandmothers (and in one case a friend), but for the most part I just fake it. :P Most of the things I've made are just a matter of "put fabric against body, mark outlines, add hem/seam allowances, stitch together, turn right-side out." The rest is just practice and figuring out how to read a pattern.

I used to make items for people, i miss that

Coda THE HAIR -- THE BEARDDD!
So long and flowey ~ I love the patterns on the scales ^-^ GALLA PLZ |
Huh, Coda, have you always had hair that long?
EDIT: OWL DRAPES |
I never really got to do that, my grandmother knew how to sew, but she never taught me anything. I wasn't allowed to use her machine, then when I was in middle school and learned how to sew, her vision was already too poor to do any sewing with me (and I'm terrified of sewing machines >>; ). So like 98% of the items I make are by hand...^^; I was her youngest granddaughter and she had a great grandson who is about the same age as me. My real mother can sew, but she usually only did the sewing machine, and because we were homeless a few times while with her she never had anything to sew with. And my stepmother doesn't really sew. If there's anything that needs fixing she just hands it off to me. ^^;

The Scales look super good Coda! I like em! As for sewing… I have a lot of cling wrap and ductape to make form fitting dresses. (Which is super funny) You wrap in cling, then ductape, draw on it, then cut it off and use it for patterns.
