Suzerain of Sheol 08-13-2012 02:59 AM

Sure thing, coming right up! :)

Suzerain of Sheol 08-13-2012 03:34 AM

Okay, Salone, there you go. Best I could do at 3:30, I'm afraid. Hopefully it's enough. :p

Espy 08-13-2012 12:17 PM

I just noticed that Cain wields a spear.

Suzerain of Sheol 08-13-2012 01:15 PM

*smacks head* That was totally not the reason! :P

I was just trying to think of what weapon he would have used to kill Abel with, figured as primitive as he likely was, a spear would be a pretty safe bet.

...because a rock doesn't have the same dramatic presence. >_>

Espy 08-13-2012 01:38 PM

...Reason? What? -confused- And I'm pretty sure you're right, although most...er...references, if you can call them that, say lance. Same difference.

Suzerain of Sheol 08-13-2012 07:40 PM

Um... Kain? Dragoon? FF4? Uses a spear? Rather badass?

And lances weren't invented for several thousand years yet. :P

Of course... his spear is rather clearly not flint-on-a-stick, and we're in a setting where Adam and his family were demigodlike shamanistic psychics, so I'm not sure how much such distinctions actually matter. :D

Espy 08-13-2012 10:02 PM

Kain's best (?) spear in FFIV was called Abel's Lance, I think...which is mainly where I got that concept from.

Quiet Man Cometh 08-13-2012 10:16 PM

I take you all down with a piece of mistletoe.

Espy 08-13-2012 10:27 PM

.....Wait, what?

Suzerain of Sheol 08-13-2012 10:29 PM

Loki killed Baldr with a dart of mistletoe in classical Norse myth. :P

And I remember Abel's Lance. Only makes sense when Abel was a character in the game, where they'd invented lances. :D

Espy 08-13-2012 10:33 PM

...Oh right, I vaguely, vaguely remember that mistletoe thing.

Salone 08-14-2012 02:04 AM

Oo-kay, something is posted. Bit rusty, but I think I can ease back in to it.

Quiet Man Cometh 08-14-2012 04:37 AM

Still a pretty good piece of work you have there, Salone. Na'lsa can be so grotesque and amusing at the same time, not sure how that works. Not even sure it does work but it's something of an experience to read through.

Dara is still sitting by the fire with Andy and Dante. And Fee.

Anyone up for that divine implosion to suck all the characters into one spot?

Serra Britt 08-14-2012 10:02 AM

I've been thinking of ways but nothing solid yet :/

Espy 08-14-2012 10:42 AM

Dante's starting to walk over.

Suzerain of Sheol 08-14-2012 12:16 PM

That was epic, Salone. Triggered my giggles-at-the-atrocities responses. @_@
