Actually, contrary to popular belief, "Obama care" does not come into effect, even in part, until 2013. What took care of you was either your state's healthcare, or the national program that was already in place (such as Medicare or Medicaid). The reason that this date was established was so that the massive drain it will place on the national budget would not hit until after election time....thus ensuring that it's full nature was not understood until after a chance to remove the person responsible for its introduction and the large force behind it.
As for me, I voted. I'm ready for all this madness to be over and for all the senseless ads to stop. |
@Tiva: XD yeah North Carolina the indecisive state. We were the last state to succeed from the union for a reason. Though I had no idea that you lived in NC.
@Alpha: Then that makes me feel better. I have three years to find a job with health coverage that will cover preexisting conditions. |
Pog: Yeah.....Tiva and I both do. We go to college up in the Mountains....not App State.
Oh man are you guys alright? I heard the mountains got a crap ton of snow during hurricane sandy. xD and depending on where you are, I am three hours away give or take. Though I want to move to Ashville.
You'd be about an hour away if you moved there. And we are fine, got some dusting of snow, but nothing serious.
Oh no, at the moment I live in Charlotte but the mountains is where I want to live. And in a city. I could not live in the middle of no where.
I'm Colorado so as always we are a swing state. However I'm not registered to vote because my options wouldn't matter in the end and I'm not in any political party. As well as its a way for telemarketer to not call me when these types of situations happen
Pog: Yeah, I figured as much from your first post about stuff locally. I was saying if you moved to Asheville, you would be about an hour away from where Tiva and I live now. It is basically the middle of nowhere....but I don't mind that, so doesn't bug me.
I wonder how Hurricane Sandy is going to affect the voting since a lot of people are without power, gas, et cetera. I also voted today. Feels good, man. On top of that, when exactly do they count the ballots, if anyone knows? |
Typically they close around seven so the East Coast just closed, but VA & a few others dont close til 8.
Romney 19 Obama 3 According to Fox News |
I thought Fox was generally biased?
Fox News is totally biased. lolbillo'reilly |
No it's not. It is giving me more information than Yahoo ABC and CNN are. Yahoo is reporting scores five minutes latter than Fox is.
Actually, contrary to what the general public is lead to believe, Fox is the least biased news network out there. The only reason they are attacked like they are is because they represent the conservative point of view instead of strictly the liberal side like every other news network out there.
...Oh. ...And that is how knowledgeable I am with regards to politics.
Seriously. I don't do politics. |
Well, Bill O'Reilly is still a lying, biased douche. |
