so dude, i really discourage you from stealing art off the internet to make buttons, i realize that despite it being illegal nintendo/gamefreaks doesn't enforce small-scale sale of hand-made pokemon merchandise they do sue for outright theft so don't use things you did not draw yourself and try and sell it, that is copyright infringement as well as morally quite slimy

Damies 11-11-2012 04:24 PM

I'm NOT going to sell what I have posted so far, they are test prints. >.<

But when I start selling I'm wanting to do my own art as much as possible.
^ that is the part i was commenting on dear, that implies you might use other things

though i did have a question, where did you get your machine? i used to buy buttons all of the time before the place i got them from closed down and the idea of making a zillion buttons out of fabric remnants excites me(ebay was very unhelpful though)

Damies 11-11-2012 04:34 PM

I didn't mean to imply I'd be stealing random crap off the internet. >.< Bad choice of words was bad. Sorry.

There are a few different places but mine is badge-a-minit brand. However i found out after buying it they use a non standard size for their pin parts. So you may want to get a different brand so you can get cheaper parts.

www.americanbuttonmachines.com is a site I am getting button parts from since they are cheaper then Badge-a-minit "official" parts.

littl3chocobo 11-11-2012 04:53 PM

oh hey XD i am on that site now in another tab hahaha

Damies 11-11-2012 05:11 PM

Heh nice. xD

I'm currently trying to pixel my own versions of the badges... failing sooo bad.... xD

I wanna draw them not pixel them. :C

littl3chocobo 11-11-2012 05:24 PM

then draw it on paper and use that, it also makes them 'unique'

Damies 11-11-2012 05:34 PM

/whines
That means digging out my scanner.... which is buried under various junk. xD

/lazyface

littl3chocobo 11-11-2012 05:35 PM

i mean draw it, cut it out and press it XD

Damies 11-11-2012 05:39 PM

Oh gad if I drew one out for every button I made... I'd die from ODing on pain killers due to my arthritis. xD

littl3chocobo 11-11-2012 05:40 PM

pffft XD lazy, do it the hard way like i do

also what did your press cost? they all are so expensive

Damies 11-11-2012 05:43 PM

That's the only advantage to Badge-a-minit, their presses are much cheaper.

www.badgeaminit.com I got the starter kit and am gonna get the 1.25 rings and supplies later.

littl3chocobo 11-11-2012 05:50 PM

that presses all sizes?

Damies 11-11-2012 05:52 PM

It pressed the 1.25 and the 2.25. You need a bigger/different/whatever press to do 3 inch buttons.

littl3chocobo 11-11-2012 05:53 PM

i want to make 1inch buttons, for fabric XD

Damies 11-11-2012 06:01 PM

Badge a minit, as far as I know, won't do fabric... >.<

But fabric buttons would be cool to do. > 3>
