Lately Skype hasn't been responding to my voice test so I'm not sure voice calls will even work. I know already that I have to speak quite loud and slow, but part of it seems to be a connection issue.

It's very sensitive to network quality and computer performance. I do three-way calls for work all the time, with one of the other developers being in Germany and the other being in Poland, and it's workable. But Skype likes to monopolize a lot of system resources.

it is possible, i use to do it regularly, until it became a premium feature.
I have a very good connection and wecam/mic so Skype works for me fine unless the person on the other end has a bad connection.

My connection is bad, and fluctuates a lot. I can usually hear everyone else just fine, but my voice doesn't always get through.
