I have no idea there was no real back story as to why it happened I think it was just a fan thing.

Yeah? Well I guess it's still cool anyways. Back to the topic I liked the idea of clothes becoming armor and gives you special abilities based on talent. That was one of the major differences between Kill la Kill and PSG.

I did like that idea as well, at the mear though of it being like metal and being able have the extra strength behind it.

OMG I LOVE KLK!!! Me and a few friends are pretty obsessed with it and I'm going to be cosplaying as Ryuko in March next year ^_^ Also one of my friends writes KLK fanfiction, it's all RyukoxSenketsu stuff but it's really good ^_^

It's decent, but seems a bit overrated to me.
