I spent a day complaining about other stuff instead.

You know, I had forgotten, but at seeing your picture Lucid, I remember Trisphe now. I'm pretty sure I had an account! I'm also pretty sure I got upset when everything changed so I missed out on a ton of stuff! And then one day I discovered the bit about the extra e and then I came back.

Coda 12-12-2015 06:56 PM

The extra "e" is a dodge because the coder that abandoned the site before I came on the scene raised a stink about owning the "Trisphe" trademark. I'm not even sure that works, legally speaking, but I also don't think that coder actually had rights over the trademark in the first place.

Espy 12-12-2015 06:59 PM

Lol wait what. How did that coder think that worked?

Coda 12-12-2015 07:14 PM

I just realized it's possible it was someone that wasn't the coder who left in a huff. It's entirely possible that this person actually might have had some grounds to lay a claim to the trademark.

Lucid: 12-13-2015 12:57 AM

I wouldn't know who it was. I wasn't on staff back then, despite the screenshot. I actually stole that from Chi. xD

I remember trying to get on the Tripshe forums and it being completely gone. I started up a google chat with (I assume) Fen, through the Tripshe@gmail account, and she told me about the extra e. I was mad that my user number ended up higher than on the original site.

Tohopekaliga 12-13-2015 01:10 AM

I think "Trisphee" is a better name, anyway. :P

Coda 12-13-2015 01:24 AM

Agreed. It looks friendlier, more fun and less pretentious, and most of all it's more obvious how it's supposed to be pronounced. :P

Lucid: 12-13-2015 02:09 AM

Apparently I also typo it less. With one e I keep typing "tripshe" instead of "trisphe". And yeah, a ton of people pronounced it "Tris-fuh" back then. I'm glad it's changed.

Coda 12-13-2015 02:17 AM

I would have thought "tris-FAY" or perhaps even one (awkward) syllable.

Illusion 12-13-2015 02:37 AM

Always sounded like (Tris Fay) to me as well.

Trisphee sounds much better indeed.

Espy 12-13-2015 02:50 AM

TrisfffFFFFFFFFTH.

You mean like that, right? ....Right?

Coda 12-13-2015 03:07 AM

Yes, that's exactly the awkward monosyllable I had in mind. :P Except possibly with a long i because of the final e. So like "tripe" but with a ssff.

Glitch 12-13-2015 05:11 AM

I said Trisphe too xD I thought it was fancy.

Obsidian 12-13-2015 08:12 AM

I like Trisphee better than Trisphe. ._.

Trisphe seems more like "Tris fah" to me.
And I've always pronounced Trisphee ans "Tris fee" (Free without the R).
