The automated defrag that Windows runs is a very lightweight thing. It's the only thing you should ever actually need to have, and Microsoft's defaults are sufficient. Its job is really more to do some basic disk optimization to make sure that the things that actually matter are taken care of. Exhaustive defrags are pointless or even counterproductive, which makes third-party defrag utilities questionable.

The NTFS filesystem has some basic anti-fragmentation functionality built into it, so files don't even get fragmented all that fast in the first place.

SSDs should never be defragged; it can actually hurt them.
