We had an uncharacteristically cool day yesterday with drizzly rain. Unfortunately, the smoke is back with a vengeance today.

Air quality maxed out the hazard scales pretty much all over the province now. It was cooler today though. We have rain forecast and really hoping it gets here. My throat has finally stopped hurting.

I actually "showered" my sister's plants a little, as they were getting smoke and particulate all over the leaves, and I think it hampered photosynthesis. My sister and brother in law were going through Seattle a couple days ago and there was ash falling.

Where I live, we're safe but my family went to visit my stepdad's father for a weekend last month in Rogue River, Oregon and it was entirely wrapped in a shroud of smoke. We were not able to really go out and explore much.

i think it got a lot worse here in idaho today.
