They make wonderful things, and put much time into them. So I am glad to have people who can make wonderful pixels.

The artists here are indeed very talented! I also love the layering on the site, so yay for the programmers too.

Arachnocampa 01-01-2011 12:29 PM

Agreed completely! I mean, look at this!

A simple hat, yes. But the shading! The use of a different color for the shading really makes this hat look amazing. Much better than simply taking a darker shade of the main color.

I'm a major art nerd and the artists here have gained my full respect and admiration.

And as was mentioned by Revenge, the programmers are great, too. Love the layering system. :]

Wow! Thank you for using my avatar as an example! I was in shock when I saw my avatar in your post, thinking "Wow! My avatar hasn't ever appeared in the center of the page before. This earthquake sure screwed things up..." Haha xD

Zypher 01-01-2011 08:01 PM

o3o

People like my scarfuu?

Sei 01-01-2011 08:27 PM

Of course we do, Zypher. :3

Lucid: 01-03-2011 09:20 PM

I don't like it. I LOVE your scarfuu, ZyZy. <3

Echo-chan713 01-03-2011 10:33 PM

My avi's all over the place when it comes to theme

Rem 01-03-2011 10:44 PM

I love that so many of the items look more painted than pixeled if that makes sense.
Esp the background items *points at his avi* those clouds, omg
Those clouuuds <3333 I think it really makes things interesting and stand out.

Bonnie 01-04-2011 01:13 PM

I agree with Rem, a lot of the items look wonderful though not technically pixelled. I love those items a lot, even more so than a traditional pixel item.

My only dislike is when I see a pillow shaded item. Not all the items are this way obviously, but a few are and it's prevented me from wanting to get them... I can't think of any specific examples, but there are a few.

Other than that, some of the best items I've ever seen are on this site and I congratulate the artists for such a wonderful job.

Also, I don't know if it was mentioned here, but whoever did the art for the new header for the new layout is immensely amazing as well. I'm sure there's a thread for that, but the artists here are great.

At the time you had these gorgeous red wings and I felt it backed up my point.
You DO have fantastic avatars however.

@Zypher, your scarf is ridiculously pretty. Will you spoil us with more items in the future?

Flaria 01-06-2011 12:58 AM

It was obviously Ginger. The Red wings or the large demonic wings with feathers?

You should thank to Coda, who did most of the programming and Fenris did some too but not as much. She also did most re-coloring and such. Most of the staff on here helped out as well. Don't worry that some of the items may look little off. Since, it's still in progress, anyways and this site is still fairly new.

Coda 01-06-2011 11:42 AM

Oh no no no, don't give me credit for any of the artwork. There's exactly one item in the system that's my own artwork, and I'm equipped with it right now. The avatar layering code is actually really easy; I wouldn't call that art.

Lucid: 01-06-2011 05:31 PM

Easy code for Coda is...uh.....not-easy code for Lucid. @.@

Coda 01-06-2011 05:32 PM

Well, conceptually, stacking a bunch of pictures on top of each other is really very simple; the code to do that doesn't do anything to advance the quality of the artwork. It's not like I'm pulling any fancy graphical effects out.

Reyoki 01-07-2011 10:55 AM

Still, though, being able to code an entire website is bookoo impressive. I still haven't completely mastered being able to use Forum Code without all the little aid buttons there are!
