I barely use tylonol for it. Cloroseptic (the nasty squirt medicine) could work or try those hard candy with menthol in it (Idon't like them but my sister do XP)

Oh sore throats...no fun D;...I had a sore throat weeks ago. Pain meds helped by a smidge. The pain would be so bad that it woke me up in the middle of the night (lying down too long made it hurt like... >A<). I wanted to go get some lime/lemon and honey, but I went for apple cider vinegar and honey instead. It burned initially for each time I drank it, but it numbed the pain later on and gave me enough relief to be able to sleep. But who knows, whatever type of sore throat you have might act differently than the type I had.
