it makes me sleepy as well, the first time I have it though it works but after having it once or twice I start to just get sleepy to them... ^^;;
also I think it depends if I'm really tired or not, if I'm not tired it automatically makes me tired and sometimes when I'm tired it will work again and keep me up, but that is a chance I would take on it not working ~

Do you have ADD/ADHD? There is a trend that caffeine makes people with ADD/ADHD sleepier instead of awake. I can't drink energy drinks or coffee or anything because of that. =P

^That. And if you drink a lot of coffee as well, energy drink might not do the trick anymore.

I don't drink energy drinks and I hate coffee (if I do drink energy drinks its a tiny amount). I just get lots of sleep and what I eat mostly not what I drink cause now I drink mostly water since it's free from tap.

What gets my energy mostly comes from is from hormones, habits over time, and the motivation to do something. I pulled an all nighter for looking for flesh toned markers so I can draw my South Park Fingerbang boys. Pulled an all nighter because I wasn't tired (and those was a few days after Wasabi when we have late night panels).

I may need to pull a nighter for making a fairy outfit using my new sewing machine cause I need it done by the 29th and to make the wings from scratch.

      • well i used to get energy from
        them but it just makes me sleepy now.D:
        and it just happened out of the blue.
        is there something wrong with us?

I generally fall asleep after I drink coffee. I have only met a few other people that this happens to. I cannot, however, speak from an energy drink perspective. The taste of them drives me away so I just do not know.

I love energy drinks - I never know what I'm going to get with them. There's so many different kinds, I love experimenting to see what they'll do. It could go either way, some make me feel energetic to the point of being jittery, and some make me super sleepy. I've never had a problem with the taste either, they're all pretty good, but my favorite so far has been the 2x caffeine low-carb Rockstar. Tastes like a bitch beer. x3

Depends, I had an energy drink this afternoon.. and now it's 2:30 AM x_x
Although if I have benadryl and stay awake a little too long I get super buzzed and like, end up stuck awake.

Pisces is right but also some people without ADD/ADHD can have the opposite effect, it all depends on your brain chemistry. Both my dad and i have the opposite effect but both my sisters have the normal effects.

I don't get tired from energy drinks, though I haven't drank one in a while so it's tricky business. Either way, I kinda like energy drinks.

I had a large lo-carb Monster today, and it was yo-yoing me between sleepy and hyper for a few hours. Now I'm on a good plateau of energy, but it was an interesting experience, to say the least...
