Think about it this way: Are you really happy just being someone's "F" buddy? If not, wait a bit. See if things work out with the second guy, and if not, no worries.

I agree that you're making this more complicated than it needs to be though.

It hasn't panned out with the one guy anyway. He bailed on me so I'm gonna give the second guy the chance and hold out for him.
