Back. Gonna read that now.

EDIT: Ugh. I've seen this one before, and hated it...

Espy 10-10-2011 10:01 PM

$25 --> $30 -$5

$10 each --> $30

30 - 3 = 27; hotel gets $25 + clerk's $2; the $3 was added to $25, not subtracted from $30. They each only had to pay $25 / 3 = $8.33

Uh...That was my thought process; not sure if it made sense.

Espy 10-10-2011 10:15 PM

Lost_Ninja9213 10-10-2011 10:32 PM

Lost_Ninja9213 10-12-2011 11:40 PM

Donaukinder 10-14-2011 09:32 PM

I think I joined when they were having their masquerade event, or just before then.

Espy 10-14-2011 10:02 PM

Puzzle time. Actually, this is more math than anything; stolen from Math Team today.

Using four 4's, make an expression equal to each of the numbers from 0 to 20.
You can use +, -, x, /, !, sq. root, etc.

For example, 4/4 - 4/4 = 0

Lost_Ninja9213 10-15-2011 01:34 PM

wait so...20 equations? blargh. does anyone know when the next event might be?

4+4+4+4= 16
4+4 - 4/4= 7 right?
4+4-4+4= 8
im bored now....

Espy 10-15-2011 01:42 PM

The "next event" was over by this time last year...I think the staff's just really busy.

Haha, sorry I bored you. I've a strange fondness for math.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-15-2011 02:08 PM

i do like math, usually, but more interesting problems like anti derivatives and spinning a function around an axis and finding the volume :)

Espy 10-15-2011 02:28 PM

AUGH. Hate revolving stuff. The class failed that test so badly, haha. Anti-derivs are fun, though, especially when you race to do easy homework problems. /nerd

Lost_Ninja9213 10-15-2011 11:20 PM

i actually did well XD then when we reviewed it and had another test, i got 3/4 and everyone else got 0 or 1s....it was great XD but since it was so bad, we had a take home packet and i did horribly. and it replaced the other grade -_-

Lost_Ninja9213 12-16-2011 11:16 PM

ive been doing tridokus, if you type it in google there should be a site that pops up on top that has them online. like sudoku except a triangle!! i just solved another one XD
