True enough.....eh, trying some relaxing music and just emptying my mind tonight. So far working. Though I guess I should turn off the computer....or at least close the lid so I stop posting....

Kali_Namir 12-27-2011 01:53 AM

That tends to help too, that's one of my main problems actually...lol...

Daring Scylla 12-27-2011 09:31 AM

Do try to work out a regular sleeping schedule, no matter how late you go and how early you rise. a more regular schedule will teach your body when to sleep, so you won't be nutty when it's your bedtime

Alpha 12-28-2011 02:51 AM

Yeah.....I definitely need to do that before college starts back up again. Although I have a feeling Tiva is going to make me sleep more regularly during my visit with her, and if not then once the semester starts.

Kali_Namir 12-28-2011 02:53 AM

Regular sleep schedules are hard when your on break...or at least for me they are...

Alpha 12-28-2011 02:58 AM

That they are.....especially because once you get off it, it just keeps getting worse and is quite a lot of work to get back on.

Kali_Namir 12-28-2011 09:42 PM

You're telling me. I mean really, I don't think I've gone to sleep before 2am any this break...

Reyoki 12-28-2011 09:54 PM

I'm kinda forced into a regular sleep schedule when I'm on break. Unless I doze off at about 4-5 in the morning, I get woken up by my aunt being generally noisy throughout the house. This morning I was woken up by her making cutesy barking and howling noises at her dogs, as if the dogs themselves aren't bad enough. She doesn't have big dogs; she has a rat terrier and two miniature dobermans.

Yokuutsu 01-04-2012 02:20 AM

I've had some times when I couldn't sleep.

But usually that's after I wake up in the middle of the night to a hallucination...like last time was...a black thing floating over me and dropping something on me...it said it dropped a snake on me and I screamed bloody murder. I didn't go back to sleep until after it was light outside .-. And now I must have the light on to sleep .-.

I know this isn't helpful to you, but still...

Alpha 01-04-2012 02:24 AM

Eh, it is sharing an experience. I have had similar ones. Not so much bleeding into reality as a hallucination, just with how real the dream was and realistic. They have literally had me jumping out of bed before and freaking me out......too personal to share on here.....

Yokuutsu 01-04-2012 02:36 AM

I don't wake up from nightmares, though I do still scream-my dad said so. And my house is haunted, so really...I'm just hoping it was a hallucination. A hallucination might mean I'm low on b12...or one of those hypnagogic? hallucination things.

Otherwise...I'd be too scared to be in this house anymore .-.

I have a hell of a time getting to sleep for one reason or another. Lengthy details and explanations aside stuff that has helped me tends to be making sure I am warm enough and that I'm not going to bed hungry. I often find I sleep quite well after having a snack, or I'm more likely to fall asleep.

Apparently white noise supposed to help, especially with babies, and I've found that in the few days since we've plugged in an air-filter with a quiet but still noticible motor, I've slept a lot better. Of course, it could also be the cleaner air. I know I like quiet when I sleep but I'm just as likely to stay away when it's dead quiet as when it's loud.

Introvert Extrovert 01-29-2012 03:35 AM

I concentrate my thoughts on a spot on a wall.
Then I suddenly find myself waking up to sunlight.

katyasha 02-02-2012 11:29 PM

I tried to get to sleep but I got a three year old black furball who keeps me up at night.

Ponies 02-03-2012 01:34 AM

I listen to music quietly, or I get up and walk around then come back like 20 minutes later and try to sleep again.
