I'd say that most of the club house threads are friendly. I don't think anyone would reject talking to you, so it's pretty easy to test the waters.

have you checked the quest places/club house?

i'm use to a lot of sites shunning people from hangout topics.

I doubt i'll go near the quest thread for a while. I want to figure things out and be settled before i start any questing.

I believe, then (and do declare) that here is different, and anyone who acts differently shall here from me and fear me :D
