Daylight savings DOES NOT give you more sunlight or sun hours, in summer itself the lighted periods are extended yes but you DO NOT gain an extra hour of sunlight. As Zerook said earlier, my state(Queensland) doesn't do DST because it is a waste of time, basically you lose an hour at the start of the term and don't gain it again till it syncs up again. When I was going to work during the trial instead of waking up at 5am and going to work I was in actuality getting up at 4am in pitch black.

Having lived with farm animals, they don't adjust to the change in time scheduling too well. Infact, they only start to adjust when it is time to go back to regular time. Our chickens laid less eggs, the cows milk wasn't as nice, and the sheep didn't come over for their breakfast at the usual times making me have to go over and shepherd them in(for those who don't own sheep, it is damn hard to shepherd sheep in without dogs).

The whole concept is a farce, when you live as close to the equator as I do theres almost 16 hours of sun anyway so why make it that 9pm is the time when the sun sets instead of 8pm? And that is why my state doesn't observe DST.

☪ஐﻬ☽ I had no idea DST messes things up that badly for farmers...
That is pathetic.. Ya it really should be stopped.

I think it's foolish myself. Now that we have so much stuff that is available all day no matter the times I think it should just be done away with entirely. All it does is mess people up, from what I can tell.

Places -don't- do daylight savings time? o.o This is the first that I'm hearing of it. I thought that it was a universal thing. There are a load of farms where I live, and none of the farmers complain about putting the clocks forward or back. I actually quite like daylight savings, so I hope that it does stay.

I love it but the only part i don't like it is when 1. I cant sleep and 2. there's a con right on that day so we miss an hour of con.

I do daylight savings time Q_Q and i don't like it too much OTL it just messes me up for the next week or more with having to re-adjust to the new time @_@ and such a pain back when i was attending school all day OTL it's easier now with college hours ; 7 ;''
